    Finished my dream gun

In 2011 or so, I saw pictures of Chris Shanks' Spine Prototype autococker over on customcockers. It was damn near the perfect gun; milled super thin, ano'd in my favorite color, had matching parts for mech, pump and electro. Come to find out he milled 6 bodies that he sold to members on CC. All long gone by the time I found out, but it became my dream to own one of those bodies.

Fast forward to 2019 and I acquired a NOS Belsales Angry frame. For those unfamiliar, Angry frames were considered the nicest cocker frames ever made. Thinking on what kind of cocker I wanted to build using it, I kept coming back to the Spine. So I attempted to track one down. I found 4 of the 6, but 3 were completed and the owner of the 4th didn't want to sell. I also knew of a secret body #7, a test body. It was sold to Wolf13, a CC member who was no longer active. With the help of a mutual acquantance, I was able to get in touch with him. He ended up selling the body to me.

    My dream was coming true.

So all that was left was to build it. This was a very special gun, so I needed the absolute nicest parts possible. So I hunted down a mixture of AKA and Belsales parts, most of which were new or in near perfect condition. It took me some time to get the exact pieces I needed in the condition I required, but earlier this year I finally got everything together, picked an anodizer, and got it shipped out.

I was woken up this morning by a furious knocking at my door. An hour later, it was all put together.

I don't think I can ever top this build. I'm in love.

Oh it's a wall hanger for sure!! The walls in the back are so thin, I'd be way too afraid of denting it.

Well that is just too damn pretty, I'd still have to get it out to the field and play it though

Beautiful! And here I was asking myself “What is the chance that this is Trilogy-oriented?” Lol. Amazing job.

One question, if I may: what makes the Angry frame the nicest cocker frame ever made? I’m not familiar with them.

At the time they were the absolute smoothest frame attached to arguably the smoothest gun. They aren't fancy, They aren't really special at all.... they were just about perfect though.

Yeah pretty much, supposedly the smoothest. Honestly though, I'd say it's not perceptably better than a Benchmark with good internals. Certainly not enough for it to be worth the huge price difference. And it lacks the features of a KAPP or a DYE frame. I do, however, really like the aesthetics. It's easily the best looking of the classic frames.

I did lol at the trilogy comment though haha. I will say that this is going up for sale eventually, and the Trilogy will not. I will be buried with that gun.
