Bottomline ASAs: to angle or not to angle?
Currently have the stock, slightly angled ASA on my Trilogy and have been thinking about swapping it for a straight duckbill. I don't really notice the angle much with a 68, but when I shoulder it with a 90ci tank the marker sits a bit higher than I like. And with the stock feedneck it is already a ver tall marker. My Automag and EMEK have straight bottomline ASAs, and the stock ASAs on my DYE/Proto markers are either straight or so slightly angled that I cannot rightly remember without having them in front of me. That got me wondering what the prevailing preference was around here.

Most of mine are straight, but I have couple that I have an angle drop on them. Even with bigger tanks I like resting on my forearm. -
In most of my bottomline markers I prefer straight, but OG guns with smaller co2 tanks angled is the way.π PK x Ragnastock πComment

In your case, a straight duckbill might be the way to go. However, with a 90 ci tank, you might find the diameter of the tank competing with your melon (and the mask on it) to get a good position to sight down the marker.

For me the angled ASA (without a drop) is for single tube markers to raise the sight line up to a comfortable position. On stacked tube markers I prefer straight out the back for comfort and functionality. One of the big reasons originally for angled ASAs were to aid in keeping liquid co2 out of the valve.

I tend to dislike angled ASAs. Mostly because many of my tanks are flat bottom aluminum tanks and they don't feed right when holding the gun flat or at an upward angle. Also the added length of an HPA reg vs a CO2 valve makes the length of pull longer than I like when the threaded portion sticks out behind the frame.

I personally like BBA a lot with the tank resting on top of my forearm, but with ASA, i tend to prefer straight as it feels a bit tighter, but it depend on the gun ...

Depends on the application... most single tube guns are a bit low for me, sight-wise, so an angled ASA sometimes puts everything right where it needs to be, if I'm not using a drop of some kind.Comment

Anyone making the reverse angle style bottomlines/blocks? I'm aware of Luke's Sidekick, but am looking for something that's ambidextrous, so no side-to-side angle.Comment

You might have better luck asking for a used one in WTB.
I *think New Designs made one back in the day, but not sure. The Psychoballistics Z-Drop could be angled to do what you want, but it weighs about 20lbs, lol.
