    What's your favorite paint

So I found a local field that's privately owned and it's bring your own paint I realized it's been so long since I've really had a good option of paints that I can buy I don't even know what's good anymore so I figured I'd ask you lot. If you are ordering paint, what are you getting?

Lucky you! I don't get to use my own paint anymore, but Defy was always nice, especially when it's fresh. And the last batch of Graffiti I used was pretty consistent and I feel like it travelled super far compared to the junk field stuff I have had to use. Also, Ruthless now offers a mid grade paint I am curious about: https://ruthlesspaintballproducts.co...42953685401815

I saw someone wearing a jersey with the US Paintballs name and logo on it at a tournament last weekend. But when I try to visit the URL shown on the box, www.uspaintballs.com, it doesn't appear to exist. Dropping the www prefix doesn't help either. Curious.

As much as I don't like the company for what they have done in the past, but hands down the best paint I have shot in the last several years is Virtue Ace paint. The price is fantastic too.

The last paint I've really liked is Art Life. I've tried two of their qualities approximately two years apart and both were good. It is made in Russia by a supposedly Dutch company, so I don't know if there are any kind of export restrictions in place at the moment.

Prior to that, the last paint I liked was Graffiti and that was 5+ years ago that I used it, but I've heard good things about it since. I used some low grade Valken paint two weeks ago and it was probably some of the worst I've ever used. Misshapen, big seams, small caliber broke in the hopper and frequently bounced off people. Even the typical GI fare is much better.

I've also heard positives about D3fy paint.

+1. Anything I've shot in the last 5 years or so varies up to .040" on diameter paintball to paintball - seam, polar axis, it doesn't matter - not consistent at all. At this point, I just hope for no dimples and no oil or broken paint in the bag.

                  For paintball? The cheapest.

For Huffin? Krylon tends to the trick.

Pre covid - Hellfire. I play mostly pump and I'm a paint snob.

                  Currently, I don't have a go to.

I've found that even today's top-of-the-line paint is not as good as the paint I used to get in the mid-late 2000s (at least as I remember it). Nowadays, even top-tier paint seems smaller, less consistently sized, and more dimpled.

Back in the 2000s, I think Draxxus's mid-range Inferno really hit a sweet spot. I remember they had some with baby blue fill and blue carbon fiber print shells that shot great.

GI 5 star is typically pretty good. Basically any brands most expensive ball aught to be at least decent. Just make sure your gun can handle the fragile stuff.

If ordering online, it's hard to beat the value-for-money of getting the field grade D3FY from ansgear with free shipping.
