    Anyone hear of Oh Pawlak?

Was wondering if anyone knows of or where Oh is? Fred Shultz made a come back, so anythings possible. I had gotten one of his Oh mags a little while ago and have been doing some reading on the guy and was curious.

A little while back he surfaced selling off a few things on eBay.... We chatted, I didn't win his plaid jersey, but I don't see him ever making a comeback. He's moved on.

      Edit....

And let's be honest Fred only came back to try and profit from nostalgia.

        Profiting from paintball nostalgia.

That doesn't seem like a business plan that results in a bank account with a comma.

Wasn't Predator Marketing in Sacramento his outfit?
Automag guy or no, after mowing lawns all summer I ordered my 1998 autococker from him and they put one of his signed flyers in the box.

Predator and Paintball Sam's were Ohs in the beginning.

One of my team mates, Larry, played with Oh and Fred Schultz on Constant Pursuit. Larry tried a time or two to coax him out to play with no success.

He's been out of the game and industry for going on 20 years.

I knew very little of the guy beyond a few magazine articles. But it always struck me that he was trying to be famous, but without any real accomplishments- at least, that I knew of. Kind of Kardashian-like, 20 years early. Famous only for being famous.

What did he do of any notoriety?

I think the biggest thing that stuck with me was hearing how he ended up being the cause for a change in tournament play. Supposedly at the time any piece of gear that was taken on the field was an extension of yourself and that included discarded pods. He would go around and shoot discarded pods to eliminate the other players. I guess this got so much attention that they ended up changing the rule and this no longer is in affect. He also owned predator marketing and had some custom mags done as Oh Mags, I've got one and its cool for being an early custom mag in my opinion, but it doesn't seem like many were made, so I'd imagine they didn't sell too well, I've been able to find pics of less than 10 so far, mostly old pics on AO

Here's a pic of the Oh mag that I own. the things to note on this one is the milling on the rail, just some windows, but you can see endmill tool marks under the ano. Same style milling of the barrel. Window holes drilled through the stainless body. Also a ptp power adapter to act as a power feed for the right feed body, allows you to look directly over the barrel, but is pretty tall with a hopper. The valve on it right now isn't original, I took it off to save the valve with the predator marketing sticker. The original valve had an 8 hole mod done. I swapped sears when getting it in hand, supposedly Oh would polish the sear faces to get a faster shot, but also removed the hardening on the sear resulting in sear failure down the line. They came with hogue grips and didnt have gas through grips or matching asa's, so this is a pretty complete example, I just took the steel braided line off to run macro for some better ergos for me.
