That is cool, why couldn't you have a passenger shooting? Also do you use a colored paint for when the water is choppy? -
I don't see any reason you couldn't other than possibly throwing off the expected location of the shot from the perspective of the skier - who is at a fixed distance from the boat.
Without a motorized gun mount, I suspect the relative offset due to the boat undulating up and down is probably significant in choppy water... Besides, all you'll see above the waterline is the water getting displaced upward. Everything coming in at high velocity will continue beneath the surface of the water. So, that's a negative on the colored paint.Comment
