    Flashback

Just as spent a good part of the evening at work replacing ball detents in the departments tippmanns while listening to 90s alternative and trip hop. For a short while it’s like I was back in college working at the local shop with no real responsibilities. Good times.

Little moments of escape. I like to listen to 90s-2000 rock while working on markers. Can ignore everything else for a bit and just tinker. Until I realize the Tippmann ball detent fell out at some point, right after I finished tightening the last bolt…

I've done this before. Years ago the local shop owner & I sat down with a 30 of Hamm's & rebuilt his entire rental fleet in one night. I was decent at it before that, but I got pretty darn good by the end.

Trip hop? Like Massive Attack and Tricky? Nice.

Whenever I go play, I bring along my little DeWalt Bluetooth radio and play old-school punk and alt rock, and some samplings from DerDer, Smoked, and Push.

It’s my Garbage play list on Pandora. Lots of Massive Attack on it. Other bands like it too. Helps me focus up.

Never got into Fiona Apple for some reason, but hell yeah I dig that stuff. Portishead, Morcheeba, Sneaker Pimps... Great stuff.

My wife saw Garbage live last year and I was pretty jealous.

Finoa Apple deffinately grew on me. Shes different, and sultry as hell.

Definitely getting a very distinct age cohort vibe from this thread. I'm betting everyone here is probably 40, getting uncomfortably close to it, or put it in the rearview in the very recent past. I hit 41 tomorrow. Not looking forward to going from simply "40" to "in my 40s."

Man, haven't heard Poe mentioned in a good long while. Goddamn the mid-90s were a hell of a time in music.

The Automag: Not as clumsy or random as an electro. An elegant marker for a more civilised age.

                Thanks!

Off-topic, but while I'm thinking about it: The Trilogy Comp you sold me last year has an Empire Sniper valve in it. Why the swap? It works fine, I'm just curious to understand the benefits of that valve versus the stock one. Does it have a higher internal volume to allow for lower pressure or something?

I turned 35 a month ago. I still feel like I'm 21. Fortunately, I eat healthy and workout, so physically, it hasn't hit me too hard yet. But I don't feel at all like I should be in my mid 30's.
