    How Long do You Travel?

Whenever you're able to get out, how many minutes/hours/days do you typically travel?

In Utah the two nearest fields to me were roughly 45 minutes. Now I'm in Virginia and the only one I've been to so far is a little over an hour, the other closest one I have yet to check is barely less than an hour. Other fields I plan on checking out eventually are 2 or more hours away sadly.

1:00 hour to my field. 30 mins to friends house, 30 more mins to field.

I typically travel between 1:15 to 3:00 hours to a field each way….uphill…in 3 feet of snow)

There is the occasion trip to a field about 20 minutes away, but that’s typically walk-on and I like to play private games

For just a normal day of play about an hour is my limit

For a special game, 3 days of driving

15-20 min, depending on traffic. I hate driving out here, so I won't go far.

I have two fields each about a 15 minute drive from home. Feel a bit lucky.

              I have 2 options within 20 minutes.

My most frequently visited field is @ 75 minutes away.

I'll get on a plane for a national event.

Longest so far was 6ish hours (out to Ottawa for Dday) and if I can motivate myself to get a passport, I'd like to do the 7ish hours for a SC game like Slim's.

Usually an hour though... there's a field about 15 minutes from me that I haven't played at since '08, I think, that I should really consider going back to.

And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

Slim’s stock class games are worth the drive

Definitely worth the drive! Bring friends! Car pool whatever you can to get there. It’s an amazing weekend of Stock Class! Be there or B Square.

I travel Regularly 4.5hr one way +5x a year to OSG because it’s amazing.AG paintball 2x a year for Slims that’s 4hr one way. Events and get togethers “good paintball” I travel for. I like to make the long trips worth it with two days of play. Most of our Stock Class / Pump dates are within 2.5hrs my local fields are within 1hr -45min. I actually have a field across from my house but I haven’t played it in 10+ years because the competition is like clubbing seals.

I have driven longer trips for paintball Sherwood Forrest was like 11hr drive for a big game. Use to drive to FL for cup every year. PRZ for Asylum was like 10hr drive. But any longer than that I like to fly. I have flown for paintball a lot. I like to try different fields threw out the US and always travel with my Phantom in a bag setup.

Closest (good) fields to me are both ~1.5 hrs away. Try to hit one a month if possible. Our pump group played today but this happens to be our anniversary and my wife's birthday so no playing for me today.

I’ve got two fields within an hour. Mostly hit those for walkon play. Event fields are 2.5-3 hours from me. They tend to be double headers and well worth the drive.

Between 30 min to 3 hours. At this point I pretty much only play private games so I go where the game is. My limit for a single day of play is 2.5-3 hours. At 3 hours each way it is a long day. Luckily we do a lot of 2 day events so it makes the 3 hour drive worth it.

Been lucky that my local-ish field in NH isn't too far away, not sure what's near me now that I'm spending more time in VA this coming year. I figured I'm going to have to get some gear there and hit a field or two and see what I like.

Any suggestions on a field near Norfolk, VA - I'm all ears.

Damn that's pretty far for me. Not quite sure what's over there. Google shows Chesapeake Paintball in Chesapeake and Fox Brothers in VA Beach, might be worth checking out.

The three closest fields are about an hour away, but one is private groups/reservations only & I have reasons for not going to the other two. (mainly safety)

So that leaves me with a field 2.5hrs away for speedball & 3.5hrs away for woods/scenario games. I'm not aware of any outlaw fields near me.
