2+ hours normally. Although, back in the day when I would visit my in-laws in Kansas City, I'd take my phantom with me to meet up with a friend in the area and play at Jaegers. So roughly 2000 miles.

NH is still my dream for good fields/events/players.

Closest field is about 30 minutes away. There are a few other fields about 45 min to an hour away but never ventured out to them. Think I’ve only played at 7 different fields, 3 of which are now gone and one was bought out by the stupid mall coupon group.

I am 5 minutes from my local field.
I have driven 3 hours for pump and old school games.
For weekend games I often tow my trailer to camp at the field or near by.
I planned a florida trip around the Grand Finale game in 2019, that was from Niagara Falls Canada.

My local field is about a 30min drive south. I really miss having the 2nd closest option being Hogan's Alley which was just over an hour away. Unfortunately they were forced to close their field last year.

Other than that, the next closest field that I play at is Boston Paintball's Ashland facility which is just shy of 90min from home.

Next up would be two favorite places in New England to play, both of which happen to be in New Hampshire. AG is about 2hrs and OSG is about 2hrs and 45min or so.

The farthest that I've traveled for paintball was for Stalingrad & ION at Skirmish which is roughly a 4hr ride.

Closest field is indoor and about 25 minutes if no trafic, I love to go there week night to play pump
2nd closest is 40 minutes (Mirabel)

I travel couple of time per year for stock class game or MCB meet up
4 hours for Slim's stock class at AG
              2 hours for Ottawa DDay
5-6 hours to play with the MCB Ontario crew

Regular field is a 30-40 minute drive from my house, but only 15 minutes from the work office, so I definitely get a lot of weeknight play in.

Furthest I've driven recently was about 3 hours for a weekend long big-game. However, this year I've been asked by a team to do media for them at MSXL events, which include a few real long drives (8hrs+).

A half hour to the west is Hell Survivors, a half hour to the east is Lone Wolf. I’ve never bothered to try Lone Wolf. Their YouTube channel is pretty off-putting.

The two local fields I hit up most are about 30 minutes away(legacy adventure park, badlandz). 4 other fields about an hour away(blast camp, sherwood forest, fox, paintball explosion). I've played at another field in the Wisconsin/ Illinois border that was about an hour and a half(promised land). I plan on making the trip to play at siege paintball outside of Milwaukee this year which is around a 2 hour drive.

have 8-9 fields less than 2hr from the house. Usually just play 1. Others are big game/tournaments only.

I was spoiled. When I lived in Ct. I had 10 fields within an hour's drive, the closest being about the time it takes to smoke a cigarette. It was easy to jump out on a weekend day or just an afternoon, sometimes stopping in if I was passing by to kill some time and meet other players.
Maybe two hours to Survival NY (Jerry Braun ran terrific scenario games as well as the World Cup) and less than four hours to EMR which was always for their big games, a couple day trip.
But I've driven from Ct. to Georgia for a 24-hour game, I flew to Fla to play in the World Cup in '98 and played at Fort Ord when I flew to Ca. in '01 (rental gear).

                          These days.... Not so much.
Most of the fields in this State seem to be along the coast, which has the most travel and population centers.
The closest two for me are 90 minutes or more each way. Places like Pev's and Hogback are four hours (I've been to both, long ago)

Any suggestions on a field near Norfolk, VA - I'm all ears.
Unfortunately, I haven't scouted that part of the State in recent years. So, no suggestions.
I'll tell you what. You pick the date and place. I'll make it to Norfolk and even bring the Cheeze-Its.

My local/home field, Southern Alabama Paintball, is only about 35-40 minutes from home. Not all that far as the crow flies, but I've got to get across the bay and down the other side. That's where I play on a monthly basis unless I'm going to some specific event.

The two events I played in this past year were at a field 3.5 to 4 hours away, so I had to get a hotel the night before but could drive home afterwards. That'll probably be the limit of my travel radius for the foreseeable future.

If my home field weren't there, I think the next closest fields are in Slidell, Louisiana and in northwest Florida, probably about 2 hours away in each case. I consider myself lucky to have the home field that I do. It regularly draws people from 1.5 to 2 hours away.
