My wife's stolen Dark Angel LED popped up on Ebay.

It has finally surfaced. Any connection between curatedpaintballstore and Brad Potter?

Let's see if I can get my wife's marker back! Here's the link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/15537484063...oAAOSwcQtjz0fv

No screenshot. I posted here and on a FB Angel group then sent the seller a message. He promptly removed the listing after I sent a message to him. I've communicated with him and am hopeful to have it on its way home soon.

Considering all of the bulk angel parts on this website, I'd wager to say East Coast Angel unloaded all of "his" stuff to this person. https://curatedpaintball.com/collections/all?page=1

The seller did say he bought a bunch of stuff from Brad. It's no fault of the seller. He did not know he was buying stolen goods.

          UPDATE #1

I messaged the seller through Ebay inquiring if he was the original owner or if he'd picked it up second hand. He said he bought it from someone. I messaged back saying this is the Dark Angel LED I sent in to East Coast Angel, paid for the work, and then never had it returned.

The seller ended the listing and sent me a message giving me his name saying to find him on FB. I did that so fast the chrony beeped! I also posted this on the Angel group on FB. The seller has chimed in there as well. We are in communication and I'm hoping to get this back in my wife's hands.

For those of you who don't know the story, here is my reply to the thread Your favorite marker. And why.

Hey I'm a lawyer and have a client whose 2 Angel markers were also stolen by Brad Potter. I'm trying to track Brad down so we can sue him and/or get the markers back. Would you mind letting me know the contact/FB info for the person running curated paintball, and/or where your wife's marker shipped from? Thanks!

If you're serious there's a whole host of people who would probably join that suit if you make a post about it.

SimpleCountryLawyer, My wife works for a firm, and lawyers aren't cheap. Much more than the value of a few Angels. Is there any place that we could donate towards their suits?

Glad it looks to be making its way back home! Had my Karni and Teardrop cocker stolen when some lovely individuals ransacked my house. End up getting them both back years later. So never give up hope!

Hoping for a good resolution for you. It sounds like the seller is making positive steps and I wish you the best. It sucks to be in any part of this chain. I hope he was ignorant that they were stolen, but it can also be the worst place to be. Damn the guy who started this.

Wait, so East Coast Angel has gotten out of the business, and sold customer guns off rather than return them?!?

He is trying, but clearly doesn't have the knowledge.

calls it mint, pumparm rub on the left side.
says 2017 and its a 2009 clearly from the frame and other bits.
short strokes and out of air.

Don't forget the "Mint" 05 Ego that's missing the HPR and has dings/scratches. Extremely clean? Yes. Mint? Nah, that marker has seen plenty of field time. Just because the "shot count" says 04 don't mean shit.

Or the Sidewinders that have several idiot marks on them that are listed for over retail.

I appreciate someone being able to buy out a parts lot and making it available for the community, but hopefully not too many of these parts share the sordid past of ScottieB's Wife's Angel.

There are several flippers on eBay these days. Many of them have a little knowledge, the rest don't. Sometimes its to your advantage, sometimes not. Welcome to the world today...

Some of them are dismantling the equipment and selling the individual pieces.

The difference between the flippers on Ebay and the flippers here: The ones here have more knowledge of the equipment.

Just curious, what's the timeline on this? Like when did you send it to ECA and even did you know you were not getting it back from him?

There is at least one thread dealing with this. You'd have to search to read through the numerous people who've been robbed. I've every email saved and would have to look through them for exact dates.

Short story is my wife's Dark LED and my three digit serial number black LED were sent in together for a full service to each. That was around two years ago. Communication was always nonexistent with Brad. I had to initiate each time. I remained courteous and was never upset in the emails. I'd send an email every two weeks asking for an update. Each time I was given a story about how they were just about finished and they'd be going out soon. This dragged on for MONTHS. Finally a bill came and I quickly paid. I asked for the tracking information in order to be at home when they arrived in the post. Porch piracy is a real thing in my neighborhood. A tracking number never came. I inquired again. No answer. I inquired again. Brad said they would be going out soon. I inquired again and again politely each week to no avail. I filed a claim with Paypal and Brad fought the claim. Paypal sided with him and I was left high and dry. I filed an appeal with Paypal and they denied it. I've sent further emails and no response.

It's at that point where many others were upset with their own markers not being returned. Quite a few people were up in arms. A couple of people received back their markers but most did not.

I kept at it for over a year. I contacted the Brad's local police department and they were quite unhelpful. Others had contacted them as well. I'm unsure if any headway was made. I contacted my local police department but nothing happened. A paintball marker many, many states away was not a fish big enough for them to chase so little effort was put into the investigation.
