Recertification of aged-out CF tanks beyond 15yrs

Not to mention, unless I'm wrong the re cert is giving the tank another 15 years. Yes you still need to hydro every 5 but, hydro, hydro, recert, hydro hydro and you have 30 years of life out of one tank.

Lhanilton commented above that it would be required every 5 years, you don’t send it and get 15 more years. So you are paying for a very expensive hydro test every 5 years in hopes that it passes.

Whats a normal hydro charge for you guys in the US? I think I paid around $40ish last time I got a tank hydro-ed.

My old pro shop used to send them out for hydro at $50 a pop. Now that they've closed down, I'm not sure how to go about hydro. I have 3 more years on two tanks. I should start trying to figure this out.

Find all licensed US-based testers here. Make sure to call first - not all of them will test paintball tanks.

No progress. I checked in with them, noting that there’s a group waiting with bated breath. This is their reply:

We still do not have the permit to do those as of now. It is great to hear there is interest out there though! I will let you know if/when I get any updates.
