I've been following this thread and love the idea. I recently moved and am still finding markers I don't remember purchasing, so I'm all in.

Unfortunately, I have a knee injury keeping me off the field, so I'll be taking the easy way out by trying to sell off everything but 2 or 3 keepers that I'll hopefully be healthy enough to use by the end of the year. If I can get all the non-keepers sold then I may snag a nice pump, a Dm12, and a Vanquish, but besides that I won't be looking to add anything this year.

I can shoot every marker besides 2. The Puma because I need to rebuild it.

Second the ice epic because I need a rebuild kit which are hens teeth. Amazing how an entire line of markers can become wall hangers because someone is to stubborn to release the info on the energized orings.

Played yesterday and used three different markers. My Empire Sniper decided to be uncooperative and was shooting sub 200…. So it got benched. First time I haven’t played at least one round with a pump in over a decade.

Oh, and no one knew what my Palmer was and most had never even heard of a Palmer. The Infinity Legend also confused people.

Some of the "not used yet" list are waiting on parts, others are going to take some work to get up to speed, and the size of paint lately has me concerned about the detents in a few. Probably won't get all of them out this year, but I'm at least going to try.


Edit (May 27th): Got the SL68 II, pro carbine, and PGP2k out today. Saber was chronoing sub 220. Going to see if I can find some springs to get the velocity up for next time.

What does the Nelson need

barrel bore is enormous, hammer kinks horribly, and velocity was sub 200 with my strongest mainspring, so bare minimum: larger id powertube, anti-kink bolt/hammer, body/barrel with a smaller id (or at least a removable barrel so I can put electrical tape or nail polish in it). Not really worth the money or effort for a beat up old rental nelson. I've considered getting a challenger kit or early bushmaster body, a large id power tube, and some ranger or phantom guts to put in it, but at that point I could just buy a bushmaster or wintec and have a nicer gun for the same money.

As to the Saber, I'll see if it chronos at a usable velocity next time I'm out.

This whole thing has helped motivate me to get to the field more this year than the last 2 or 3 combined. It has also made me realize that I have a couple guns that need to go. I was really excited to get them, not a single urge to use them and no emotional attachment at all.

I shoot every gun at my back yard range at least once a month to keep them lubed and happy. But you're right, I should really rotate through more of my collection instead of using the same 3 or 4 daily drivers. I'm already thinking some of my older electros would be perfect for walk on days.
