Why hasn't anyone 3d printed JMJ impellers?

    Title.

I feel like all us old farts love the JMJs, but they aren't always easy to find. I would imagine it would be an easy item to print, no?

Because if you post a WTB someone prolly has a bucket of them. But maybe thatโ€™s changed in the last few years

I was able to find some a few years back, but I feel like I haven't seen them much in the last few years.

Ok, so it got 6 fingers instead of 4?
I thought 3/4 fingers were the upgraded ones?

Nope the 9v impellers had 2 blades, standard 12v-18v had 4 blades, JMJ has 6.

I read in the Viewloader Facebook group someone was working on this. Finally.

There was a whole bunch that were posted a few years ago and were selling for a few bucks plus shipping.

        One.....too thin for FDM printing

Two.... Resin printing is too brittle for this application

Three..... Virtually no market. To justify SLS printed ones.

Could you print them with straight fingers, and then heat the fingers over a form?

I have some resin that is very tough and some that is flexible. It might do the job, but it's not cost effective.

Like Superman said, someone had a ton. I think it was dbnpaintball now defunct website but someone had that inventory I believe, or a different pile.

AKA was selling them for a while, they were the go-to until sold out. Dirt Works apparently has them stashed away somewhere but who knows with them, lol. The best luck I've had is asking in the VL group or finding on ebay
