Nelson Battle Grips and/or Short Change grips? What do I look for?

So I always thought this picture was of a Nelson 007 "Battle Grip". I was looking for a set again recently and kept seeing grips with no hole for the 12g referred to as "Battle Grips".

Through some more googling I found these pages suggesting it was a "Short Change" grip.
    - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cviUN9m1MfE

    1) What is the specific name of this grip with the "short change" hole for the 12g?
    2) Were these grips manufactured like this, or were they only modified by players?

I feel like a mcb member was recently working on a remake of these grips. I can't answer your actual questions, but lemme do some digging..

Ah yes. It is the great Rainmaker.

Restarting the thread for the 007 battlegrips I was working on before The Hack. Working on CAD models for Nelspot Battlegrips. Whoever it was that printed my first draft (sans the the 12ie cavity) feel free to repost those pics! EDIT: just a placeholder for the moment, imgur isn't letting me link my photos right now.

Not sure if he ever finished these to sell, but Id shoot him a pm and see where the project lies.

IIRC battle grips you are likely seeing are the Sheridan ones. To find these I think to find the Nelson ones I needed to look for "Battle Frame" but it has been a long time.

I did send mine to Rainmaker for a bit and he did post the files he created to 3D print them on here on the forum so people can print the.

The Short Change is the lever changer for in grip air.

Battle grips came in three flavors..... With hole, with out hole and the very rare lefty with hole.

These were definitely battle grips. I think I have some still new in the packaging. "short change" came about because there was a quick changer called the "short change", and the hole type grips were meant to work with that particular short change device for a quick drop out and change:

So you may see them called that, but I don't believe that was their official name.

              TGE,
The combo of the grips and short change is nothing short of amazing. Th battle grips alone make a huge difference but the two together makes changes quick enough that when someone tries to charge you because they hear that 12ie pop you might still have a chance to get them before they get you.

I've been wanting something cool for my 007 project, now I got something to build 😅
Anyone have access to take some measurements and pictures?

... I know. You tricked me at least twice that way with the 007. I think I had already figured out not to test you when I heard the Gargoyle hiss.

XEMON - In another thread I think you directed me toward Rainmaker for battle grips. I thought I PM'd him, but I don't see anything in my account, so I'll do it now.

Hey, sorry i haven't been around guys. I did make a reverse engineered 3D print version of the battle grips. They were functional but not perfect. It's been so long, i can't remember what it was that still needed tweaked. The files are floating around somewhere on the internet, haha.

Would you be ok with me asking one of the guys who did a test print from the other thread to provide the file?
