    Ninja 68 SL2 vs Lite 45?

Hey guys! Quick question...does anyone have first hand experience with both these tanks? I snagged an Etha 3M here a few months back and am slowly but surely gathering bits and pieces to play again. Wanting to keep it smaller/lighter for rec play, but looks like these two are pretty close (lengthwise, at least). Obviously, the 68 will have a larger diameter, but just wasn't 100% sure on OAL. Thanks!

So are you looking for a measurement?

I run a sl2 77 as a primary and have dealt with a lite 68 in the past.

The lite series is basically a rebadged sl1, the sl2 series cut down on wall thickness so they are not only lighter but have smaller external measurements compared to a non sl2 tank. For example I have my 77 in a 68 tank cover, according to ninja the 77s are the same external dimensions as their older 68 tanks, appears to be true

I switched from a 68 lite to a 45 lite for the narrower diameter. Length difference was negligible.

      45 with ProV2 measures 10.25”
      68 with ProV2 was around 10.5”

As far as efficiency goes, I’m getting around 850 shots with the 45 on my M170r and stock barrel. Plenty for recball.

Thanks for the quick data! The M170R is gamma core too, right? Not sure if there's any significant efficiency difference between electronic/solenoid and pneumatic 3way operation, but 850 is pretty friggin good to me lol

I picked up one of those FS 15/45's during the Christmas sales for my LF phantom, and oddly liked the length of it on my 3M. I'm currently working on a small cocker restoration project, but in the meantime the 3M would be the semi workhorse whenever I'm not shooting stock/pump. Since I don't really plan on ever playing competitively again (unless it's a casual local 3 man or something like that), my whole concept is to keep load out to a minimum (CTRL hopper with ramps, and pieced together Valken V-Tac 2 pod harness). Thinking I might like the slimmer tank diameter of the 45, and would probably get another tank for the cocker when she's ready!

We’re very like minded. I carry two pods max for mechanical. 45ci is plenty for that, even if I can only get a 3k fill.
Then for pump, the 15ci can cover everything from stick feed to a full revvy.

Side question...if I do in fact run with the 45/45, does ANYONE make a plain(ish) black tank cover for those anymore? I know it's damn near impossible to find anything without a logo, but sheesh I'm not a huge fan of the super flashy/bright colored stuff with logos stamped all over it lol
