    Field Food

I've been playing for about 10 years now and have noticed the food offerings getting better and better within the past couple years. When I first started playing you'd be lucky to get a bag of chips, maybe a hot dog or the field ordering pizza. Now I've seen really good food trucks being brought in for events, some fields even having their own restaurant at the field. AG and OSG are the two that come to mind.

I don't know if this topic has come up, but what food offerings have you seen over the yeas/do you think its gotten better offerings wise?

There was a taco truck that tasted pretty decent at the last field I played at a few weeks ago.

Oklahoma D-day had a full cafe back in the day.

I bring my own food, really have never depended upon getting food at the field. I do not eat much during a day of play so usually just some trail mix, jerky and dried apricots for food and water, V8 and Gatorade for fluids (heavy on just straight water but on hot sweaty days you need those electrolytes). After playing and after cooling off I want something like a steak and potatoes or a GOOD burger and fixings.

Ive seen nice food trucks, and or the full concession stand offerings, but nothing really compares to a player established cook out. There is a nice taco truck thats routinely at Sat Tag where I go.

Honestly though, I usually avoid the food offerings at fields. i have 2 reasons typically. 1 i usually am taking a break when the rest of the field is, so I need to strategically order it when its not a peak time.

      2. As you said. The food offerings are typically a can of soda, a hot dog, and or a slice of pizza. None of which help me sprint uphill both ways to the deadbox.

OSG has amazing food. I would get it even if it wasn’t attached to my favorite paintball field.

Best breakfast is pretty much anything BLachance75 throws on the flat top, especially when paired with homemade honey or AnarchicArctic maple syrup.

Also shoutout to Impactfour for his dank ass oysters

Good news it we just started seeing some new growth on some of the oysters we harvested yesterday. Hopefully in a month or so they'll be big enough for grilling!

Always plenty of field herb wherever I go play .

Paintball2Go in Roodhouse IL has a great kitchen trailer. Best food I've had was a Siege in Big Bend Wisconsin. They had Smoked sausages that were fantastic and really good beef jerky. .

I think herb is pretty much all over the place any time paintball is happening. Especially now that it’s steadily becoming more and more legal across the country.

OSG has us pretty spoiled up here with their beer selection and excellent food. you can camp for free and live off the bunker menu for an entire weekend.

The quality of the ingredients at OSG cant be beat, all the meat comes from a local farm, best burgers around.

New Hampshire does it the best of anywhere I have played. With that being said, two items come to mind:

        1. OSG's Pulled Pork Sandwich
Arguably the best Pulled Pork sammy I've ever had. I honestly look forward to having one every time I visit.

        2. AG's Buffalo Chicken Rangoons
At Slim's this spring I had three orders of these between Saturday and Sunday. Absolutely delicious!

I just bring Fiji water, fruit, and meat. Pizza is regularly delivered to the field but I'm never in the mood for greasy cheese while playing.

Gateraid/Powerade, water, chips or something salty. Usually don’t eat much while playing.

I generally don't eat if I'm playing. I'll basically caffeinate, hydrate, eat a protein bar and go till the end of the day. Obviously drinking water during.

However if I'm not in the field yeah food trucks are great!

The one year at EMR they had a guy with smoked chicken and very good home made perogies. I was fat and happy.

I prefer having breakfast before playing then a snack during the day. Whether that is me cooking something at the field or going out doesn't matter to me.

My peak field food experience was the bunkhouse deck at emr, that awesome grill Nish fundraiser for us with patches, and some amazing spread that him, Justin, and others put out for us over the years. GET TO THE priceCHOPPAH!
I feel like I’ve seen a reduction in field food offering for sale. Although food trucks have gotten big in the last 10 years again so you’re more likely to see one in the parking lot, which is a great way to go imo.

EMR players party days were awesome! The Canadians came down bringing big trays of their bacon and booze. Shooting Havoc launchers full of gummy worms into the crowd. Massive bonfires and wild nights! EMR back in the Day was Epic.

The field I used to play at had hotdogs, water and chips you'd get with your entrance but since I knew everyone who worked there I'd usually get a hot dog, texas roll and a Gatorade. Now that I'm 30 and a little more health conscious, last time I played a few weeks ago the field had a food truck but I brought watermelon and cold pizza.
