I am both looking forward to this, and dreading what it does to up the ‘fastest mech in the west’ industry ante.

There is already one faster it’s just not legal for competition play. The printed cam piece makes them incredibly fast. I don’t think they need to shoot faster then they already do honestly.

I am more excited for the Gmek valve tho. I’m definitely going to try one, it’s probably going to be slower but I still want to try one.

I will say I am excited for this because I've been wanting one for my emek but the $90 price tag has kind of stopped me

On the flip side we are most definitely starting the BPS wars all over again this time with just mechanicals. In all honesty though I'm not necessarily against that it did tend to spawn some innovation along the way

as long as that innovation is paint that doesn't suck im sure it would be ok.

Agreed, they are a little pricey at $90.

It’s not a valve it’s a printed cam that attaches over the valve pin. There’s video of it on YouTube somewhere. It basically makes it bounce fire like crazy. Guy on BookFace was selling them before the Hair 45 came out. But the Hair 45 was legal for competitive play. I can’t find any info on it now. I remember videos all over YouTube about them.

Okay, they're just copying me now with that lathe setup. 😂

        36cps?

I didn't think the gamma core was capable of those speeds.

Obviously cheaper due to not milling aluminum. But haven't seen what this one is made from.

Looks like maybe a 3D printed resin or nylon with brass core pieces? Definitely interesting. Should be plenty strong enough. There's less than 200 psi going through there anyway.

It's a lot like the Emek body design. Aluminum core inside a GRN shell. Good idea to keep costs down.

I'm a middle aged rec player that primarily uses a sniper.

My Emeks are already fast enough. But...I'm not the target audience.

I'm with you. And let's be real, most players aren't going to shoot any faster with this. It's just capable of going faster but you're still limited to a single trigger.

            Everybody buying these

the first week: fanning the trigger oh the DW45V2 shoots so much faster!

The next week: shooting 8bps max like before.

The product is geared towards the mech tournament players looking for an edge. The majority of players do not need this nor will they benefit from it, but that won’t stop them from getting it.

The new mech markers out pace the majority of the old mech in every way. Speed, efficiency, weight, reliability, ergonomics hell even price for the most part. The short valves just turn all that up to 11 while still fitting within the narrow competitive rules. There’s a reason I still use my 1st gen Emek to play 10 man, I have shot them all and my modified emek rips!

Sure it takes away from that classic feel. But the game is still the same really. People often complain about BPS all the time it’s an excuse to themselves why they lost the battle. Ask any Stock Class player that regularly plays open play with electro players. I love playing against people who shoot to much you always know exactly where they are. Behind that trigger at the other end of the rainbow of paint.

You nailed it with the last two sentences. Part of me wants to get the hair trigger and an electro hopper for my girl's emek set-up just to let it rip, but I'd rather she learn the fundamentals. High BPS play pairs best against high BPS play imo. In open play where I play stock class my first move is usually targeting the most obvious spray and pray player, if only to give my newer teammates some peace of mind. Either way, the person spraying a colorful garden hose all over the place is the easier target most of the time.

I'm just happy they're inclduing the OG GMEK in this design release. While the Liquid "bang" switch does help some, I could see this lowering the pull resistance evem more. I love the sliding trigger on the GMEK, and can only imagine how great it would be with a lighter pull.

Agreed. I don't even care if it's walkable. I just want a nice smooth trigger. That slider is just difficult to give up.

Same. I don't care if it's that much faster, but if it improves the pull feel, etc. it may be worthwhile.
            Working...
