Got a grungy PGP in the mail this week. I decided to clean it in the ultrasonic cleaner, however I didn't have any of the cleaner that I normally use. I used something different, something that I knew might eat through paint. My intention wasn't to strip the paint, but I can't deny the thought of doing so, and then polishing the brass did cross my mind. The paint was still decent for its age, so I only planed on leaving the body in the cleaner for a short while. Surely not long enough to damage the paint. Then I forgot about it. Oops! Now I'm not sure what I'll do. Maybe I'll polish it? Maybe I'll leave it as it is? I could paint it, or plate it? All it needs to function at this point is a 12g seal.
