Recommended websites for new gear?

"Finally getting back into paintball" thread #3,540,922 but I am finally getting back into seriously PLAYING paintball. I played in the early-mid 2000's religiously and slowed a lot as I got older but never stopped tinkering with guns I lusted after as a kid and still played occasionally. Decided I now have the time/money to get back into it much more often (even though I need another hobby like I need a hole in the head) but I also need some new gear; tanks, clothes, pods/packs, etc. When I was more involved Action Village was a go-to website for buying gear but I have heard horror stories about them/ANSGear nowadays so I'm not really sure where to go. Is Punisher Paintball still good to go? I have very old Compulsive Paintball stickers on my toolbox but it doesn't seem like they exist anymore. What is the go-to website nowadays? Anybody I should absolutely avoid?

There’s a lot of ANS hate for sure, and definitely understand where it’s coming from based on the stories, but I’ve never had an issue ordering from them and have been doing so for years.

Have also had great experiences with Punisher’s. I’ll usually look there first but in the end I’m usually after the best deal.

whats your location? A lot of stores in the Northeast are selling gear in store the same price you can find it online. www.paintballwizard.com is an excellent choice.

Welcome back to the sport first off, glad your back. Well you found the greatest forum for paintball,now lets see about merchandise. I personally like lone wolf paintball,but always seem to be out of what i need. Give points for purchases which no one else does that i know of. Ans has always been ok with me along with “time 2paintball,” punishers and paintball wizard.

Paintballgateway. Com has been pretty good to me. Kind of depends on what you are looking for. They tend to have a decent chunk of NOS cocker parts but I would browse around it and see for yourself

Another vote for Paintball Wizard. Doesn’t always have everything I’m looking for, but any time I’ve ordered something it’s been a perfect transaction.

Ive never had any issues with either ans or action village. But you can always buy on eBay for peace of mind, AV sells on there and you get that additional layer of buyer protection.

I also appreciate the welcome back's! I was active on the old MCB for a long time (still bummed about what happened) and PBN before that. In a similar vain to the Amazon takeover of retailers, it is great to see this forum still kicking. Reddit/facebook groups have taken over forums in a lot of ways so its awesome that we still got our spot.

Sherry has a massive selection with great prices on all the latest gear. Freshest paint around to. It’s not to far from Long Island and there is a field right down the road you can try out your new gear. I think she still offers free entry when you buy a marker. But the field is amazing, prices are hard to beat, and they really know their stuff when it comes to gear. Shopping local is the best way you can get your hands on what you are actually getting. Also if your picking out a mask you want to try a bunch on and find one that fits you properly.

My girlfriend's family has a house about 10 minutes away from there and I never even knew it existed! Looks like a great field, love the OG hyperball field. Gonna have to make a road trip up after the holidays

The field is great. Lots of good regulars to. Big mag fed seen. Prices are awesome. Proshop is sick all kinds of goodies. It’s definitely the best place to play in your area I have played them all.
