Dear hustler... So I bought a binary autococker.

Yes, you read that right.... Binary, imagine if you will an auto response cocker. No, no not the Boston Reflex one that fires on the pull and release. Really.

    But before the photos.....

I did not build this actually I bought it very inexpensivly on eBay with full intentions of parting it out only with me posting in a few of the Facebook groups realizing after it was suggested that the random assemblage of odd parts actually works and was infact a two stage trigger!

First post shows it on the gun it was originally on and had a valve leak so it was parted then put back on its sister cocker that came with.

At first it looks like wonky junk.

But I put it together and lo-and-behold it works! I need to time it better but ran out of air.

I can't take credit.... It was suggested and all the bits started to make sense.

Was wondering why someone would modify a ram likw that. Pretty cool find!

It's not just a ram... The whole Three way is custom and acts like two stacked two oring ones.

Does this actually catch and release the hammer or is it just cycling the ram?

It catches and releases twice. I need to tweak the timing closer but I've run out of air

Okay, now that is wild. I've never even heard of something like that, but yeah, given the pictures, it's surprisingly simple. I might just have to add that to my list of Stuff To Tryâ„¢.

Curious though- am I missing something? Why is the ram mounted outboard like that? I don't see a mechanical reason for that, is it just that it's the wrong thread for the front block? (I'd have just made a new block, but considering the trigger was clearly filed to shape, the 3-way collar ground down on a bench grinder, and the linkage slot in the grip frame looking like it was either filed or Dremeled, that may have been beyond the maker's capability. [And I don't say those things disparagingly- I recognize them because I've had to do things like that too. )

It's longer throw, I'm going to throw on a regular ram to see what it does but if I had to guess it increases the timing window.

I saw that it's a longer throw, kind of like the Reflex ram, but that doesn't explain why it's mounted outboard of the block. Again, I'm assuming that's just because of the nose threading? (Stock 'Cocker being 5/16", and that long ram looking like it's closer to 3/8".)

              Yeah I'm confused as well

              1) why was the ram modified?

              2) how does the 3 way function? How does it activate 2 times with one travel of the trigger?

                2) it acts like a 3 o-ring 3 way at first but as it continues to travel it acts like a 2 o-ring 3 way once the front o-ring clears the front output.

1- Couldn't tell you came like that and really just put it all back together to see if it would do what we thought. Honestly it might need the longer throw but the guy who made it night the wrong thread and here we are.

2- it is a very long pull, about .5 of an inch. So it works like this.... It seals then cocks, and closes and fires on the pull back. Then seals cocks and fires on the way forward. The three oring shaft in this case is acting like a stacked pair of two oring shafts
