    NovaPB new Autococker Parts

I just recently came across a Facebook post by the tech at NovaPB that was just a picture (below). I couldn't find any more info on what is happening to this cocker. Obviously something is up with the pneumatics, that 3 way is nuts. However, in the back it looks like some valves I assume 11/16th and 9/16th.

The owner commented on the pic, something about balanced valves they are coming out with.

Do we have any information on these projects?

The problem is the tech is posting on fakebook instead of the real deal mcarterB. If he posted here like a real tech we would know what that low pressure perpetual motion Rube Goldberg machine was capable of.

I don't like Facebook or the centralization of all online communities on one platform, but from a business perspective it's an easier place for them to log stuff.

Oh hey I remember that, just checked the old post on Facebook again. Seems like they are making 11/16th and 9/16th balanced valves. I think there trying to go LPRless, or at least that's what they talked about in the comments

I talked to Chris about this a couple weeks ago. I know he and TJ are here, but always forget their usernames.

That 9/16" valve concept is pretty cool - integrating the jam nut is an interesting idea.
And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

Did they fabricate their own pneumatics to handle the direct operating pressure of their balanced valve (no LPR)?

I'm confused about the design of the valves. Shouldn't the cup seals be enclosed somehow if it would be balanced?

The Spyder balance valve didn't have an enclosed poppet. Neither did the the Empire valve for Bushmassters.

That's neat. I didn't consider balancing the valve on both sides with pressure. Thanks for explaining that

Makes we wonder if that section behind the name but threads isn’t too thick.

Talking about the length of material sticking out past the jam nut threads? It does look like a lot. The length of the stem also looks short.

It's really cool to see some "fuck it, let's try it" attitude in the industry again.

The idea of a valve that threads in using the jam nut screws is definitely one of those “why didn’t we think of that 2 decades ago” kind of things.

A potential issue with the integrated nut on the 9/16 valve is that it might not index properly when tightened down. I think they could skeletonize transfer section in which case it should probably be made of stainless.

Moving on to 11/16” was the best solution from manufacturing and functional standpoint.

Yeah I think both skeletonizing it would be helpful. And seeing how the rear is a socket I'd want it made of stainless to begin with.

Would be nice if this company wasn’t so scatterbrained and stayed focused, they need to edit. This is why the N4 will never be an emek killer. They are chasing the next invention rather than perfecting one already in customers hands. Can I get a working marker out of the box pls?

ChoSanJuan got one with a manufacturing defect, but Nova did make it right.

I will say that they've actually put some effort into the N3 platform. The "2024" v2 is much more refined than the launch models. (Maybe I should do a side-by-side breakdown of both of mine).

They are not trying to make it an emek killer, only offer it as an option to compete with the emek.

They are also a tiny company and pretty much all the r&d is being done by 3 people, of those 3, 2 are also assembling and sales.

They are figuring it out though.
