    10 round tubes types/manufacturer

I have been starting to collect 10 round tubes. I have a bunch of the empire ones but they seem to not last long. Crack during use or if they get shot they explode. I have a few of the white PMI tubes I got from Autococker parts . Com. However they don’t have anymore of those.

After looking around someone told be that Nelson paint sells the clear tubes with the green caps. Has anyone used the Nelson tubes before or know if those are the PMI ones?

I guess if I have to keep buying the empire ones I can but I would like to stock up on some that will last a little longer.

I have like 200 of the gray ones with the black caps, I will try to get a name off the box they’re in. The feel thicker than normal, definitely thicker than the green cap ones

edit - mine are the empire ones. They have gotta be stronger than the green cap ones though.

Those ones from Nelson are what you want and you might just call them and ask if they will just sell you the tubes. Here is an ebay link to this type of tube as well from i&i:

Agreed. I find the slightly more flexible Empire tubes are a bit stronger than the classic white ones, the standard caps just don't fit as well. Empire tubes with Stryker Customs caps are the best of both worlds.

I have found that the empire tubes just explode when getting hit. They also just crack randomly on me. You think the grey empire ones are better than the old school clear/white ones?

Spangler in my experience yes. The white tubes haven't been produced in some time so they are arguably older and more brittle. I still use the old clear ones more often, but I have had 1-2 break per day as of late, while the grey Empire tubes have taken direct impacts without breaking the tube shell.

I'm with Spangler the empires seem to Crack vs bend.
I use both interchangeably, but the empires aren't lasting as long for me.

If anyone is looking for speed caps, a friend of mine helped me source these and they have been great, no breaks over the past year.

These are great caps. They work great on the older white tubes. I have a ton of the caps.
