    PUG -Walking paintball tank plans

I recently had the pleasure of talking with the creator of the PUG walking paintball tank. Todd Meyer of Stone Gryphon Studio has graciously provided a digital copy of his original plans to the paintball community that may shared and copied for personal use. I'm posting in this portion of the site, admins if there is a better place you would like this post, please let me know.

So I tested 4mm corrugated plastic from Lowe's.

Granted I don't know what velocity I was shooting and shot at 5-10 feet.... But I'm hesitant to suggest 4mm...

What about roll roofing material it’s basically thin rubber mat.

Or cover in cheep fabric and brush epoxy into it you could probably add fiber glass mat layers to the outside till it’s thick enough. You can make your own light weight bullet proof vest with the same method I’m sure you could stop a paintball with it. Just not sure how much you want to invest into making this thing.

This tickles my memory from a very long time ago. Not this specific tank but, I definitely remember an articles in a paintball magazine discussing the idea of a walking, 1-person tank. Am I the only one?

I’ve just quickly looked over the plans but notice one significant flaw: there is no place to hold a beer.

              Love the plans! Thank you!

I would personally make them from carboard. If a paintball got through and hit the driver, i would call it a kill. Cheaper too

I bet layered cardboard zip tied in place would probably hold up well. Especially the waxed type used in food service.
