I know it may seem like blasphemy here on MCB, but I feel like these new mechs are vastly superior to the classics when it comes to performance, air efficiency, weight, and shot quality. As much as I like my Mags, Cockers, and the like, my Emek has gotten a lot more use since I picked one up shortly after they were released. If the looks of the Emek just don't do it for you, the M170R is pretty much the exact same thing, but in a nicer body and a few nice upgrades that Emek owners often install as aftermarket upgrades.

The gmek is neat but the slide trigger IMO is really kind of meh at best. Very smooth but tons of side to side play. My least favorite of the new mechs.
The m170r feels great and shoots fantastic, but at the end of the day it's just an aluminum emek. I'd take a FLemek or a customized emek over it.
Emek is fantastic, cheap enough you don't feel bad beating on it and even without trigger upgrades it rips. The hAIR trigger makes the pull crazy light, with no spring or a really light one it's not quite electro light, but it's pretty close.
The CVO is a blast. It's basically a refinement of the old mech Ion design. Unlike the PE mechs you can short stroke it, but IMO it has a much nicer trigger feel than the PE guns, you can also get the trigger pull INSANELY short. You have more ability to tune the shot as well, for speed vs softness Biggest downside is that the way I have it setup I almost have to run a powered loader on it because t's too easy to rip and outshoot. I also don't really care for the XL freak but only because it's a whole new insert set I need.
This is the insane example:
But I've come pretty close to that with a much slower finger:
Haven't seen an AMP in person yet, but expect it to function like the PE mechs, curious to see if it carries the ROF of the CVO's.

I would personally vote PE any version of their mechs. Great shooters, fast, reliable.
Of note the bolt catch on the Shockers are possibly poorly placed according to your shooting style and also break which I would imagine leads to the bolt break issue, or is the same referenced differently.

What about an eNMey? Heck of a lot cheaper than the rest and they shoot great. I like the trigger feel of the eNMey better than the Emek or the Gmek.💀 PK x Ragnastock 💀

I really liked my eNMey, great little marker. I haven't gotten to try my MG-100 (magfed EMEK) out in an actual game but it seems like a superior machine from just dinkin' around in the backyard.

Agreed, I've had my eNMEy since the pre sale back on the old board. That has to be at least 7 years. Had it tuned at Carnage 3 by one of the members here who is a GoG tech. He put in the new V2 solenoid and adjusted the trigger. Super light and snappy trigger, regulated and does everything a mech needs to. Prices are up but then again 7 years ago the CAD dollar was stronger. Still $200 for a great mech marker where the only real upgrade you need is a barrel and maybe an on/off and you're set is a great value.

In my experience, the CVO is too light for its own good. The bolt engine is proven to be very smooth, but when it's so light it ends up being very poppy feeling. It has a lot more vertical kick than all of the others, in my experience. It probably has the fastest trigger, but the kick bothers me.
I agree that the Gmek trigger is pretty blah. If Deadlywind made a hAir trigger for it, it would probably be pretty nice but as it is, it's pretty stiff. The side to side slop FoP mentioned is definitely there but IMO the stiffness from the switch itself is really annoying. I used to say that if I could get an automag with a slider, I'd stop shooting cockers. The Gmek was going to be that but better, but the trigger just kills it for me.
The M170R is pretty nice. The trigger is not quite as nice as the CVO, but in fairness I have not tried it with the hAir trigger. I've tried Emeks with the hAir, but didn't compare it side by side with a CVO. Anyway, the Gamma Core in an electronic gun is a bit more kicky than something like an IV core, but in a mech gun I'd argue it's the best shooting platform. It's also going to be more robust than the Ion bolt the CVO uses.
IMO, if I was recommending a modern high end mech, the M170R is the obvious choice.

The emek and m170r are very similar, and excellent. Really terrific bolt design, easy on paint, efficient, quiet.
The trigger on the m170r is different, and superior to the emek.
The trigger on the CVO is great, but I don't care for them otherwise.
If you find yourself in the market for a PE then HMU.

One difference you’ll soon discover with the new modern Mechs, are No Double Trigger options! Unlike back in the day when you couldn’t wait to take a hacksaw to your Mag or Cocker trigger frame, in order to drop in a double trigger, here you’ll find no double trigger versions of their guns! And the aftermarket has only delivered single trigger solutions. They all seem to assume everyone buying these Mechs is immediately entering into a local Mech tourney!?
some people just prefer the feel of a double trigger (me!) , so I find it really odd there isn’t even one option'96 RF Mini Cocker, '95 RF Autococker, 68-Automag Classic, Banzai Splash Minimag, Gen-E Matrix, Shoebox Shocker 4x4, Montneel Z-1, Tippmann Pro-Carbine, Tippmann Mini-Lite, Tippmann Model-98, Tippmann 68-Special, Spyder .50 cal Opus/Opus-A , Tippmann .50 Cal Cronus , Gog Enmey .50 cal , Tippmann Vert ASA 68-Carbine, Bob Long Millennium, ICD Grey Green Marble Splash Alleycat Deluxe (runs liquid co2) , Halfblock 2K4 Prostock Autococker , 2K RF Sniper II

I had a Gmek, and currently own an eNMEy.
The Gmek trigger is pretty nice, I thought. Much better than some Autococker sliders I've shot, but not as nice as high end sliders. But still, with a Bang Switch, it was easy for me to rip on it, and the fat trigger shoe it came with us quite comfortable. I only sold it because I plan on picking up another PE mech.
The eNMEy is honestly really nice. For $150, it cannot be beaten. There is potential for short stroking, but the trigger pull is so short and crisp that I've literally never once done it. It also has a slight Autococker-y feel to it because you control the bolt position with the trigger, and I really like that. The ability to use .45 grips is great. And I really like the compactness of it. It feels like a Mag in your hands, with the reg directly in front of the trigger guard. I hate that everybody is elongating the grip setups. My biggest complaint is that the trigger breaks at the very end of the stroke, and I like triggers that break at the beginning. But there are two very simple and inexpensive mods that can be done to take up the pre-travel and get that breaking point closer to the start of the pull.
