    more breech sensing

Edit: this thread is now about posting all the silly marketing in paintball over the years.

I'll leave my lighthearted rant on breach sensing.

On the heels of this release:

I was hoping "Breech Sensing" would go away after the laz valve. The fact we need a paragraph to explain it, equals bad marketing.

This is like calling Regenerative Breaking in electric vehicles, speed sensing, that would be dumb. Do better. Breech Sensing needs a trip to the back of the barn.

I highlighted what I would name this Technology: TOWA Power Technology and on the next revision you an add Pro or Max like Apple.

If we are stuck with breach sensing, let's at least make it a little easier to read.

Breech Sensing Technology Re-Explained in their words:

This innovative system uses the air pressure behind the paintball to precisely control the main valve. Here's how it works:
    1. Sensing the Air Pulse: As the paintball fires, Breech Sensing detects the pressure surge behind it.
    2. Precise Valve Closure: Using this signal, the system closes the main valve before all the air in the chamber escapes.
    3. Trapping Useful Air: This traps some air that wouldn't significantly affect the paintball's velocity.
    4. Efficiency Boost: By reusing this trapped air, the marker needs less air to refill the chamber for the next shot, resulting in increased efficiency.

    Benefits and Impact:

Breech Sensing is a significant advancement in paintball marker technology. It delivers a dramatic efficiency boost without any drawbacks.

    More options:
    • Intelligent Pressure Management (IPM): Highlights the technology's ability to manage pressure based on real-time data.
    • Shot-Activated Valve Control (SAVC): Focuses on the shot for activation and valve control.
    • Optimized Airflow System (OAS): A broader term emphasizing efficient air usage.
    • Kinetic Pressure Recovery (KPR): A technical term focusing on recovering energy from the paintball's movement.
    • Eco-Fire Technology (EFT): Appeals to environmentally conscious consumers, highlighting reduced air usage.
    • Max-Efficiency Drivetrain (MED): Simple and descriptive, emphasizes maximizing efficiency.
    • Precision Valve Timing (PVT): Technical term focusing on accurate valve control based on pressure.
    • Next-Gen Airflow (NGA): Modern and appealing, suggests a major advancement in airflow management.
    • Pressure Maximizer (PM): Straightforward and emphasizes maximizing usable pressure.

    What would you name it?

As long as there is paintball companies there will be hype marketing terms....

    Micro honed
    Aerospace grade aluminum
    Ceramic coated
    Elliptical honed
    Low pressure operation
    Automatic velocity control

    I think I covered the 90's

        Weeeeellll...

There was an oring that did seal the bolt when forward

I'm not sure what the complaints about this name are. I think it's logical and makes sense. It's true that any bolt is "breech sensing" in that pressure in the breech affects some part of the bolt engine, but not every bolt engine *closes* the shot chamber valve in response to a high pressure pulse in the breech.

What design fires the ball when it’s in the breach? Wouldn’t we have terrible blowback if that was the case?

I mean that the ball is in the barrel but the pressure pulse that is sensed is in the ID of bolt and in the breech. Like this ("breech" boxed in white): https://i.imgur.com/RT6vkkp.png

I think we can agree It's a confusing marketing term. "in the ID of bolt" which is in the location of the breech, but not actually sensing breech pressure - thats a stretch.

Also worth noting nobody complained when they applied the same concept to the emek bolt system.

Maybe I was just too much of an AGD fanboy, but I always took this as a shot the marketing nonsense of other companies.
