The field I play at stocks valken and that stuff has been pretty close to the sizes I remember in the 2000s for most paints. I got a really nice close overbore on a 688 with graffiti platinum. The new world I shot last year was not great but was sill larger, had some falling through the 688 while some were bore matched or even a slight underbred.

But yeah I will echo that the mag field shell kinda sucks. I still managed to have a few barrel breaks, probably 1-2 per case which isnt bad but I also had a shot bounce off a metal rounded roof of a camper on the field from maybe 50 feet away.

The field also carries "GFX" by valken which seems to be another graffiti variant but I cannot find much about it on line and its not listed on valleys website but my friends that were shooting it said it shot well at least. The one picture I can find of the case though doesnt say mag feed compatible so maybe I need to try it next time and see if its better.

I’ll add to the Graffiti vote pile. Not spectacular paint but better than most GI paint I’ve used. I opt for Graffiti if given the chance. The only good GI paint I’ve shot in recent years is Evil, but it’s not always available at the fields I go to.

Damn, sounds like I'm gonna be doing some tinkering at the field this weekend. I recently bought Cdn_Cuda's F-1 Illustrator (and will finally have a chance to use it this weekend) and while it cycled old swollen paint just fine I don't imagine I'll have the same luck with fresh stuff.

Oh well, that's why God gave paintballers black tape. It fixes everything.

I've invested in some quality black tape ($5) and it sure beats inserts or barrel kits

weird, the stuff I shot a couple weeks ago seemed rounder and would have taken a lot of force to get in a 679, didnt even fit in a 684 lol.

The premium paint at field I play used to be closer to 690, but their new supply is under 679
