Best ever made is the CTRL2. But you have the Spire 4 which is a runner up. I don't recall if the Spore 4 has the problem with the shell popping open, or if that was the Spire 3.

Spire. Lighter, typically more capacity than the rotor can feed reball if you happen to need to and doesn't try to dimple your paint in between games. I have a spire 3 and rotor. The only reason I keep the rotor at this point is if I set up my mag for RT the spire can't keep up the first few balls because it doesn't have constant tension on the ball stack

If I had to have one end-all hopper it’d be a Revvy w/Vortex impellor and either the X-Board or Empire sound-activated board. It’ll work well on everything outside of what electro & mech tournament guns need for that specific style of play. If you play tournaments and own anything faster than a modified Emek then go with the Rotor.

Have you had good luck with the sound operated boards? I find my modern markers to quite for the sound operated boards. I have had more luck with the ones with eyes personally. OG FTW I find my Emek with a Dye UL to quiet to activate the sound sig required to turn the new sound activated revvy.

I honestly have no experience with the sound-activated boards. I just know they are highly regarded for that use. But I have also heard/read of issues arising from newer markers due to how quiet they are. I guess I’d prefer eyes, but I’d have no qualms about using one on a blowback or EP poppet. Just maybe not on a Matrix, M3 or anything like that.

I love my sound activated reloader, although I don’t anything Uber quiet. They are adjustable. The first shot after fresh batteries calibrates it. I know if I put it on a loud gun and switch to something quieter it won’t work unless I dump the batteries first. The main issue I have is it shuts off after 10 minutes which is only a problem in long or big games
