Shooting food (or other comical non paintball bits) out your marker

Who's tried it and how did it go?
I keep meaning to bring a caliper to the grocery store.

Looking less for "I shot marbles and now I'm on parole" and more "Jimmy's smoked mini weenies are 0.690 and handle a rifled barrel well"

Oh man back in high school we would shoot anything we could jam into the plastic barrel of a BE Talon. Some of the more fun ones from memory:
    • Frozen grapes (the sound of impact was hilarious)
    • Hot dog slices (short range, but weirdly accurate)
    • Breakfast sausages (funny to watch, but didn't fly great)
    • Yogurt... just loose yogurt (I still pee a little laughing just thinking about this one)
    • Fireball candy (the bore size is a bit small, but we got these smashing bark off of trees)

Those canned Vienna sausages (definitely a high end culinary experience 🤣) might be about the correct diameter, but they’re kinda “squishy” and would probably result in a fine meat giblet mist being spread around the immediate area if you used a normal amount of air.

My dogs would appreciate it I’m sure, but I don’t think I’d like cleaning my marker and barrel afterwards. 🤣

they don't stay together at all. I don't remember them being quite the right size, I just pushed the barrel into the can and they cut to fit.

Bomber snaps that were a neat perfect .39 out of my .40 cal ccm revolver... It was fantastic

Grapes probably work well considering they're the same shape as most field paint!

Not so much, out of but, more like propelled by. Back in the early Jr. high school days, we played a little "every man for himself" indoor game. The OD of PMI traccers barrels were a perfect fit for a plastic soda bottle cap. It was basically a untethered co2 powered cork gun. Yeah, same group of idiots that shot sewing needles w/thread and tape, blow gun style, out of bic pens at each other. We were trying to be a little safer. We came a long ways from the sunglasses/bb gun war days. 🙄

You know those little round smoke bombs that are like 1-1.5" in diameter? Back in the day, I fashioned a little PVC attachment to slip over the end of the barrel of my 68 Special so I could launch those like rifle grenades. Had to light them manually first, of course. I think I only used it one day. The little smoke bombs put out a pathetic amount of smoke and were wildly inaccurrate, not to mention lighting then launching them was pretty fiddly. And they tended to scorch the inside of my PVC launch tube. It was a more fun idea in concept than in actual practice.

I had a long-haired cat. A couple times I brushed his hair out and rolled the loose bits into a tightly knit grey ball roughly .68 in diameter, which I could muzzle-load in my KBA and fire down the hallway, bouncing it off the closet door with a satisfying WHAP.

Me and my ref pals used to occasionally shoot gummy bears into each other's mouths from about 15 feet away...they are small relative to the barrel so the velocity was tame enough to not injure anyone

Not food, but I can confirm these are basically .68

I have shot some funny stuff out of the Havoc launcher back in EMR’s hay day. Hand full of Gummy worms hurt like a MF at 300fps lol.

Glitter was a fun one. That stuff went everywhere! Used a paper towel as a wad single sheet over the end with a rubber band.

Not food, but I tried the gell balls for those blasters. My Sheridan vaporized them with the full force of liquid Co2.
