    Digging through stuff

So, recently had a death in the family that shocked me into realizing that I have too much stuff.
Much of that is paintball markers etc...Nobody else here has a clue about what's there so I'm going through it in order to start liquidating it all.

During the excavation, I come across a copy of MAD magazine dated Feb. 2006. I'm like OK, why is this here?
Flip through and lo! There's a full-page ad for Greg Hastings "Tournament Paintball max*d" video game for Activision.
    Seriously? In a MAD magazine?

I manage to find, and for some reason hang onto some obscure items. As they get dug out, I'll add to this list.
    Hopefully with pics.

Been taking pics. Starting with what's in front, the "grab & go" boxes. Markers, masks, harness and tubes, all the necessary gear.
And I cannot get anything to load in the komputer. Not a single image.
It's a Dell compact desktop which was a POS to start, not helped by the fact my cat knocked it off the shelf to the floor. It functions, just very poorly.

If it’s an iPhone, you either have to change the camera setting to take jpg instead of HEIF, or you can copy/paste the picture from the photo app to the files app, which converts it to a jpg.

        Settings>Camera>Formats
        High efficiency = HEIF
        Most compatible = jpg

This is a hell of a task, did it myself over the summer....

Sorry, I don't own a cell phone. Just a Kodak PixPro.
So far today it's been a box of old VHS & DVDs. (Derder, Traumahead, Skyball, Castle games from EMR) Also my old Wolfs Lair pin and a couple of Masse speed-feeds for the PGP.
The next box should be interesting. Some old Sgt Splatter stuff (signed), I saw an ACI Turret still in its package.
It's a real buttload of stuff, and more to go before even reaching the crates of markers.

I'm still taking pictures, figure by the time I've gone through it all I'll have purchased a machine capable of showing it all. Once I do, I'll probably start a thread in the collector's corner.

Hit a box of assorted stuff. Old Paintcheck magazines, APGs from the '80s, even the first issue of Paintball Sports magazine signed by Jerry Braun.
Automag body & a Pro Team Autoresponse frame, another Masse speedloader, misc. old books including some TWB.
And a Paintball calendar from 1999 ~ Topless edition. I'll post the cover, what's inside might not be acceptable. 😍

Next box is a huge tub labelled "everything to carry paint" and has many hoppers.

The trouble is on this end. I cannot get pics to load into the komputer.
Not by USB port or directly plugging in the memory card.
Once I have a machine that will accept it (and has a buttload om memory), I can upload to an account at I created at paintballcity.

Went through a couple boxes of old masks, I think 23 total not counting the woodstalker shield that uses shop goggles.
There are four I consider usable. The rest are just memories.
The hopper box has some neat stuff. I sure you know the JT Proflex, but the View Loader Proflex hopper? With the soft sides to absorb impact? Even has the neck insert.
There's an old "Oil Can" hopper, and a pair of Ricochet where the batteries don't run a motorized paddle, instead they run UV lights with a mirrored interior for use with glow-in-the-dark paintballs. Still have an old box of those. Doubt they're any good anymore.
Somewhere I had an old Silver Line clip-on pod. Probably still buried.

Next boxes are not labelled, could be more paintball stuff. And tomorrow is supposed to rain so no pics.
Although I peeked. Camping gear and paintball stuff, including an AGD pump kit with the rod.

              Am I wrong?
I'm still going through stuff intending to sell. Yet I see things for sale and think yeah, I can afford that!

Finally stopped raining here. Still going through boxes, not all are paintball but must be moved and consolidated to access the marker crates.
And a mixed-up mess it is. Back in the '90s I gold painted an Automag. So far, I've found the body, rail, and bottom-line ASA. Each in a different box.
Now I have to go back through those boxes if I wish to put it together.

And more MAD Magazines, mostly from the '70s. Plus a bunch of other comics I had thought lost.
Maybe there's a market for old "Thunder Bunny" comics.

Apparently, there is a market for some of these old comics. My nephew came over and looked some up for me.
Four of them were listed in triple digits.

Regarding photos, maybe try a local library? They'll usually have computers you can use.

With all due respect, you may not realize that where I am is an hours drive to the nearest dunkin donuts. Much less a library that has more books than I do.
And I've taken over 150 pictures already and haven't reached the bulk of it. I can't imagine trying to upload the entirety from a public library.

But I am getting closer. Separating old personal items and camping gear out of the way. Getting to the good stuff.
Almost every box I go through has another pod, 10rnd tube, Co2 tank or individual parts that should all go together.

Gad, what a mess. Box of old pictures (many paintball, haven't sorted them yet), pieces of obsidian and petrified wood...Oh, what's this at the bottom?
A Co2 fill station, and a cardboard tube with old AGD posters.

Too much here for a mere comment.
Yes, it's a long time since I've been up north. I do miss you guys since moving to the buttcrack of America, paintball wise.
But the collection has grown even since then. End of today I looked into the next box and I don't immediately recognize what's in there. Air & Co2 tanks, more hoppers and stock class harnesses with tubes, valves I cannot ID, I don't remember ever buying a PPS 3-way in green then leaving it in a bag. There are barrels and sizer kits in there. I'll know more tomorrow.
But I realized why I didn't recognize it, It's one of the boxes I got from Jack LoCicero, but never went through.
