So I am interested in picking up a racegun autococker and was curious what a good price is for one of these. What price point am I realistically looking at?

It depends on what model and condition. There are a few factory Race models. The Halfblock which was made from 2001-2005, and the ANS GX-e in various GX3, 4, and 5 bodies. You can also piece meal the kits and turn any autococker into a race, similar to e-blading one.
The issue with raceguns is they were niche to begin with. We ran a 4.8v rechargeable battery while the industry standard is 9v. So now, 20 years later, those guns have bad batteries and will need new ones. Yes you can put a 9v in a race frame. No its not worth it. You need to hog out the back of the frame and you are stuck with a specific 9v only firmware.
Next is the charger cables. If the gun doesnt come with one, you’re going to have a hard time even using it. And lastly, programming is done with a laptop instead of by on-board methods.
I’m not saying this to shy you away. I own 2 complete Races and have the parts to build a few more and clearly I’m bias.
You might be able to snag someones ‘broken’ wall hanger for cheap if you look hard enough. Or, again, you find a body you like, buy a frame kit, and build it yourself.Last edited by DarkApollo; 09-26-2024, 12:59 PM.

Depends if it includes the race barrel, all original detent covers, there are a lot of parts that make a full build. I would say ~750 for a halfback that has everything. working condition, good batteries, chargers, etc. If missing parts deduct, if stunning and amazing anodizing maybe add.
