Curious what you load out for pods. Do you use a lot of them, or just a few? What size or sizes? Are you using pods you have had forever or do you need new ones every year? What format do you usually play?
And lastly, are those Dye lock lid and Virtue pods actually worthwhile?

Usually I use my 50 round pods as I typically play open class pump. Sometimes I'll use my 100 round ones, but it's not often. I've got a case of paint worth of pods, including my 10 round tubes. Total of 14 not counting the tubes, both old and new. I think I actually like the newer pods better.

I usually load up my hopper and a pod or 2 at the start of the day, and leave when they're empty. A hopper will last me a game or two. I use proto pods, they're a bit nicer than the normal ones.

I liked my Locklids, but the main issue is they hold 160+ rounds. You pretty much have to empty your hopper before you can fit it all in. You usually waste ammo or have to live without those few precious just-in-case shots. Durable & reliable though. YMMV.

I'm still using some older GXG pods. They were cheap but don't break easily like other cheap pods. I have 5 & usually carry 3 + the loader onto the field (both woods & speedball). I don't preload a bunch of pods 'cuz I use a ball caddy. Reloading is a snap. I do have a bunch of 32 Degrees pods but I usually use those for paint storage & testing. I store all of them in a square cardboard box with dividers in it for wine bottles. Works pretty well, but I wanna build a PVC pod rack or something.

When I play pump I run 2x50rd APP tubes in individual APP pouches on my work belt, plus a 100rd Sportshot or 60rd APP hopper. My only gripe with those pods is they open kinda hard. But they get easier over time.

Mainly I used the little 50 round ones for pump play like you do. Long ago I bought a set of Dye Locklids and they have served me well. Bought them after one of my old pods decided to break, with the entire cap of the pod including the lid fell off, losing an entire pod of paint. That can't happen with the new molded pods though. Kinda want to buy some new Skull pods just to put googly eyes on them though.

Depends on the game/scenario and who I’m playing with.

I usually play woodsball, single elim. or different senerio games with respawns ie. Flip stick, capture the flag etc.

I used to run my hopper and (2) 160 round pods (left them on a field one day....)when we played games with respawns. That was all my 48/3000 tank could handle with my A5. Maybe a 3rd 100 round pod to share with teammates who came ill prepared. When we play respawns, I’m a very aggressive player. I put a lot of paint out and am up front where the action is (I would typically run out of air/paint)

If it’s single elimination, I don’t really NEED to bring pods in, but I do. I typically just top off my hopper between games. With single elim I am still aggressive, but I do play a lot more cautiously and don’t send as much paint downfield.

Now, that being said, my autococker is MUCH more efficient then my A5 ever was, and I have 77/4500 tank for it. I haven’t found out how many shot I get from a tank yet, (only played single elimination games with it so far) but probably run with my (4) 140 round pods and see where that leaves me. I figure I should get about 800 rounds out of a tank. I have a 5th oddball 140round, a 120? and (2) 100 rounder pods that were given to me or found on fields, and plenty of space in my pod pack.

My “primary” pods are (4) Bunker King ESC pods. I haven’t had them long but I really like them. They are nice thick plastic, textured on the outside for easy grip, they close securely and they flip open relatively easily with a nice loud pop. I wish I got the clear ones, but blue was all my shop had at the time.

Moneys been tight lately so i usually play pump with a full 50 round hopper and 8 ten round tubes in my pocket.

Thinking about going with the low pro 100 round hopper and two 50 round pods next.

I like the DYE Lock Lid pods.

I don't shoot a whole lot with any marker, so a Revolution hopper will usually get me through two or three games. However, I like to carry a pod or two just because.

When playing pump or with a gravity feed loader (Gog Multi-Cal) I use Gen X Gobal 100rd pods with a Dye 3 pod pack. If using a electronic loader I just use standard (typically Valken) 130rd pods with a regular old Empire 4 pod pack.

if speedballing, then its usually 4 pods, unless Im a back center guy, then its 11 plus a full rotor
mainly valken pods, just cause i get them at dealer cost thru a great friend/field owner

Ill stuff the rotor full carry 2 pods in my pockets and have at it

I do have a couple of onion bags full of pods, all makes, all colors, mostly that collect dust, mostly cause nobody has made a good enough offer on them yet

loved the fatboys, best made back then, still hold up, but have a deserved retirement in my gearbag

I run a condor chest rig, 3 100 pods on the front, room for 2-3 more on my back, depending on the game format/time/size.

Cant stand wearing a pod pack or vest (i dont like wearing a jersey either. i like to run light you follow me

never carry more paint than what your tank can shoot. If i do wear a pack its a 4 with no extras. I use the old VL 145rd pods. Thats for big scenario games only.

I usually run a couple full 140's on my 4-pod HK pack, or I run a Condor chest rig with three 100's up front. I have APP 50 rounders, but hardly ever use them when I play. I like 100rd pods the best all around.

Usually for recball I try to shoot less than a bag a day, so I run a 70rd hopper with an APP tac pod (holds 30 rounds) in my pocket. I tried the 50 rounders with the Pbmafia pack, but I just really don't like harnesses. The only time I wear one is for big games with standard 140 round pods (usually 3 or 4 of those).

Those Tacpods fit perfectly in a lot of pants squeegee pockets. It’s exactly what I do. Fuck a pod harness for rec.

Don’t those 30 round Tac pods feed like crap tho? I remember the paint jamming in them. I feel like I would rather run a 10 round tube and stick feed at that point.

I’ve never had a problem with them jamming. The only downside to these would be you need to use your index finger to hold back the lid when filling a hopper, but for me this beats having to load ten round tubes after a game or carrying around any harness or pack.

I usually fill 3 pods at the beginning of the day but only carry 2 with me. If I use one I will swap with the extra. That normally lasts me most of the day with top off of my hopper each game. I just bought BK ESC pods with the padded lid. I really like them because they don't rattle and fill tightly. I have a 3D printed 6 pod holder that I put in a rubbermaid type bucket with a lid. That way I don't spill paint on the table and I can re-use them without worrying about the paintballs getting dirty.

Spike you can get foam from most craft stores some even are self adhesive. I use it on the lids of my 50 round GXG pods cut and stick them super easy. Makes it so you don’t have to pack the pads as tight so they don’t rattle when running. Saves dimples and less broken super brittle paint.

I purchased printed tethered 10 round tube caps that help hold paint in tubes a lil tighter as well. Basically do the same thing for 10 round tubes.

Yeah they are really nice. I didn't think I needed them until I had them. I hate rattling paint and the lids fit tight enough I'm not worried about them coming open easily.
