STO feedback question

Alright experts, I have two STO bodies and they have the classic feedneck on them. I want something clamping but do not want to destroy the stock aspect of these bodies. From a collectors standpoint does the value go down by having them cut for modern feed necks? Would a clamping neck that went around the outside of the existing feedneck and allowed it to stay intact be marketable? Am I the only one that cares about this haha

I think if a gun is completely factory stock then yeah modding would affect its value as a collector item. But a better feedneck increases its value as a player's item haha but really if they are only bodies then I would make them into the best shooters possible instead of a wall/collectors piece.

My STO has a twisting lock feedneck, still has a more classic look but has modern functionality. The feednecks are threaded so I can go back to the stock non-locking ones. Also mine gun doesn't have many true STO parts just what makes it a nice shooter for me, screw collector value unless it is stock and minty.

Trinity made a clamping feedneck that will go over the standard old style non-clamping feednecks.

I have used one on my Micromag RT and some fixed feedneck WGP autocockers. It’s kind of bulky, but works well, and you don’t have to modify the marker.

Unless they have some obscure factory ano or feedneck then no a modern feedneck won’t lower value or collectability

Unless I am mistaken, all but the really early STO bodies were threaded, so you should be able to just throw on an aftermarket feedneck. Just keep the old one and you get the best of both.

If you're planning on using them, are they really going to be "collector-grade" then? Any nicks or bumps from using them will devalue them as well.

Just mod the feedneck so it's useable and call it done, in my opinion...

Fold up a piece of your paint box and make a wedge I do that with all my classic feed neck cockers

Haha not a bad idea. Some electrical tape wrapped around the hopper may work too lol

I find old wrist bands from other players, and use a chunk of that.

What year of STO is it? Like was said before only the 97/98 guns aren't threaded feednecks. I would honestly leave them as-is if they are the early guns. The stove pipe feednecks aren't bad at all if you just tape your hopper a littlle. IMO a modern feedneck on a 1997 resto-mod just doesn't look right.

No the sto body kits of that era are not
