So they are out of stock, and I might prefer a different frame. I would like an 86 degree frame with the guard

So your options are weld nonsense to a $300 frame and not have it anno correctly

Exactly! However, the anno I would maybe go with would prob somewhat hide the anno issues

You will not be able to match the ano. The welded area is gonna take the dye differently and will be a different color.

TIG aluminum is a beast on its own, and small parts like that need extra special care and technique. Be ready to cost you a lot or lose a few parts if you want clean somewhat seamless job

Good point. Perhaps a busy color pattern will help hide the differentiation in color

Make sure you use 5356 filler if your gonna anodize it 4043 filler will not work for anodizing

I did a trigger guard. I used 4000 series filler as it's all we had, but it'll be 2x small patches as I cut nice fillets for my buddy who did the burning. I was told those spots will just anodize black no mayter what you trym I haven't attempted to anodize it yet, but I just figured I'd request an acid wash or something to hide the defects once it happens.

It'll likely go to KMDPB to anodize lol.
