We played a few all Umarex Hds/single shot airball at Santa's shootout and it was awesome!

I’m curious, you’re into stock class indoor speedball?

Do you play NXL rules in woodsball?

You've never played pump on an air field?

firepower is an even larger advantage in the woods than it is in speedball .... so yeah, id much prefer a machine gun in the woods over a stock class gun. and id much prefer stock class in speedball than anywhere else.

what is this attitude ... 2003?

did we forget how paintball is played since i left?

Indoor is even easier with a pump. No opportunity for players to dodge your one lonely pump ball. I used to play stock class indoors (when we had an indoor field) and absolutely beat up on electro players. Outdoors on the big field it's neigh impossible unless you have an open class pump or mech. In the woods...yeah give me a machine gun.

yup. stock class in the woods fucking sucks. work for 20 minutes to find the perfect shot, have your ball hit the one twig in-between you and him, and have him turn around and dump 40 balls at you, so what if 10 hit the same twig, the other 30 didn't.

at least in speedball, you have notable advantages with a small, light, hopperless setup. i know they have declared gunfighting dead in speedball for a while, but like the dogfight, its still around. and a stock class gun in a gun fight is not at nearly the disadvantage it is in the woods.

so yes, in conclusion, 100% id rather have an NXL setup in the woods over a stock class one, and id rather play my stock class in speedball, regardless of what the other guy is shooting, because i am at less of a disadvantage there.

this is like pump paintball 101. anyone who has actually played knows this. thats why i found that comment so absolutly baffling.

I wonder if I'm in that video somewhere. I know I made it to a few of those pump games back then, shooting either my Hammer or my old KP3 most likely. Possibly my T8 on those nights where it was pump and/or pistol.

They declared gunfighting dead in speedball? Maybe i've been out of that game for a while but what's left after you remove gunfighting?

Sitting there holding lanes, just shooting constant streams everywhere. But I don't think gunfighting is dead in speedball from what I've seen

the advice going around in the 2010s was to not get into gunfights in tournament paintball, because it was safer and easier to kill people by turning and shooting a different lane.

                    or so they said.

i thought it was foolish at the time too.

Give me a good gun fight. I hate just holding lanes.

Gun fighting doesn’t work in a world where refs consider everything an equal trade and the new meta is forced trades

                      #15
i mean it depends where you are shooting right? there are critical lanes, and controlling them is key to winning the game on that field. so if you dont have dominance over that lane, you are going to have to fight someone for it. depends on if that lane is something worth fighting for or not. and if you do have control over that lane, and someone comes to fight you for it, are you just going to give it to them? probably not.
