What's different about the meteor spec from like 2k or empire?

lower tube is drilled all the way through and uses an insert to hold the frame, banjo, or spring perch. Attktx made is gold chamber for the meteor and smartly, expanded where he could sell them.

i like it because you can get a really precise lower tube dimension with fine finish. Swapping the insert chamber give better flexibility - pre-2k and 2k banjos + could potentially go from LP HPa set up to HP CO2

meteor is 11/16th all the way through kinda like a spyder is, no banjo threads those are on the valve chamber which is an insert that goes into the front of the body.

2k is 2k banjo with 9/16th valve

empire is 2k banjo with 11/16th valve also has nubs on gripframe screw holes,

Just to clarify here:

Committed is Boston Paintball's online branch. So this is just Boston making a new version of their twister. Completely new gun, just keeping the same twister milling theme. It wasn't a one day release or "make however many people order" like Freeflow, a selling point of Twister release since they revived the brand with the LV1 has been limited releases, usually 150-200 bodies. But pretty much every release sells out instantly with the major exceptions probably being the original LV-1's and the Inception Twister's. Downside is a lot of it is snatched by flippers these days. Wouldn't expect to see anyone sell their spot when they'll be able to sell it for more than new shortly.

Committed actually does a solid job of weeding out the flippers. They know that if they are flipped then they are added to a list and can’t purchase another in the future.

They track all of the serial numbers and it’s pretty obvious when one comes up.

As a machinist not really sure how you came to that conclusion... a thru hole is no more accurate or different finish than a blind hole... I would agree that it does give you valve chamber options which is fine enough in theory but doubt it will really be utilized.

100% you could, of course with the right machinery and time. I was considering a practical application view point. Those deep drill pilot holes will not be concentric. plus the chip management and oil pressure, more clamping and unclamping, valve threading, etc.. more steps, more parameters for error. When I look down any WGP lower tube and see tool marks, a meteor tube is so nice and shiny.

Tooling marks in WGP bodies were likely because they were running thousands of bodies a month

As opposed to a boutique brand who does a handful..

$50 Spyder imagines don't have tool marks in the lower tube. It was the production choices they made at the time.
