I also have some opened bags of even older proball platinum... That's still round but very huge bore. Like over .696

While cleaning out my parents house after a fire, I found two old bags of paint that had to be circa 2009. It appeared to be really oily and I’m sure it was dimpled to hell but looked decent in the bags. Maybe I’ll open the bags up during the final clean up push.

I have one paintball left from when I shot my first paintball marker well over 20 years ago might be pushing 25 years at this point. I also have a bag of sniper paint from OK D-Day 2006 floating around in my stock pile.

I shot leftover paint I had from a big game a few months ago this past weekend and it was a disaster. Shell was super brittle, I broke just about every other ball. And it was stored well, inside my house the whole time.

Maybe a year or two old, I dumped a bunch before winter. Lots of time I bring extra paint to the field and give it to some kids if the field allows BYOP.

I shot a whole sealed tube of 200 Brass Eagle Tournament Grade paintballs once. Bought in 99, so well over 20 years old. Very little sweating, wasn't soft, no dimples, bright orange fill, and they smelled like fish oil was used. My Raptor blew up every shot. But my Tigershark only blew up like 2 or 3. In more gentle shooting guns, it would of been perfect paint. .

I have 20 .50 caliber red paintballs that came in the Crosman 3357 package. Original price for the package was $89, which included the Marker, extra cylinder, 20 paintballs, 2 CO2 cartridges and paperwork, all in a cardboard box with a shaped foam insert. It even has the original purchase receipt dated January 1986, which makes the paint almost 40 years old. Early 3357 packages (mid to late 80's) came with a foam insert, while later packages (late 80's to early 90's) came with a shaped cardboard insert.

I've mentioned it before, but I still have a jug- some Tupperware thing- of some glow-in-the-dark Tracerball paint that was originally sold with those barrel-mounted flash units.

We used that at a 24 Hour game at Otter lake, on what was at the time Elmendorf Air Force base in Anchorage, Alaska (Now Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson) back in 1996.

I tried shooting some a while back, in an attempt to get a long-exposure photo of the flying, glowing paint. Shot just fine, no breaks, but while the glow was enough for me to see, the camera only recorded faint traces.

Other than that? I have a tube of the oil-based Nelson, but I bought that here just a few years ago. The paint inside is badly distorted and utterly unshootable.

I also have a small stash in a labware jar, of the original run of RP Scherer All-Star from 1998.

Those tracer balls were pretty cool to watch at night at a Scenario.

My brother-in-law recently unearthed a 19 year old partial case of JT branded camo paint and gave it to me. After sorting through all of the deformed and cracked ones and cleaning off all the oilyness, I ended up with about 300 or so balls. The paint was tiny (some rolled out of my 04 Angel Speed lol) and the fill smelled like peto bismol but it actually shot better than the case of Empire Heat I bought recently...

Back in 2012, the local paintball scene saw another resurgence. (I've lived through at least three, now. ) I still had a couple of (unopened) cases of Draxxus that a local flash-in-the-pan field had bought ... in 2004. I bought the stuff from him in 2008 or so.

It was the only paint I had on hand when a quick weekend game was announced so I took a case and my trusty scrap-box 'Cocker. I had no HPA so I had to fill the old-even-then Max Flow with CO2... as one does.

That Draxxus, at that point eight years old, through a .687" LongShot barrel, on an LP/Tornadoed 'Cocker at about 165-ish PSI, was some of the most accurate paint I've ever shot. At one point I made a corner-to-corner cross-field shot, 120 to 150 feet- ripped off three shots, two hit.

Then again, that's also the day I was about to side into a bunker (plywood box) and at the last second remembered I wasn't wearing kneepads.

So I scrambled and fell on my ass... in front of somebody's GoPro.
