1990 or 1991: Went and played once at an indoor field near Detroit that was the factory that built Packards.
They had this stuff called Gluckenball that was the field paint and everyone had to shoot it.
I think it was made in East Germany.
Stuff was the nastiest stuff I have ever shot.
I think it pitted the barrel on my Lapco Grey Spirit.
I have never heard or seen it after that.
It was sort of round, but only God knows if the shell was geletin
The fill was like white paste watered down with something that must have been leftover from the tuna canning factory.

Monsterballs, you might as well shot marbles

And I think their was some tiger stripe stuff that half the time didn't even make it out the breach I hated getting that stuff

Pretty sure the tigerstripe had water dyed orange for fill. It didn’t leave anything but a wet spot when it broke.

Yeah it was horrible but family loved to buy me it for birthdays and Christmas and what not, it was free so I tried to shoot it at least 😂

^Wildstreak^ iirc. That was a good description of its trajectory…

Now on the opposite side of horrible Walmart paint. I always liked super swirls which I think were marbs in different packaging. Also Walmart sold Scorch in big ammo can containers that shot pretty well and was affordable. I’d get like a month of weekly outlaw with my friends shooting that.

Forgot about scorch idk how cause that was my go-to for the longest, wasn't it in a yellow and red box, the swirls weren't bad either, man I miss those days I tried to play every weekend I drove everyone around me nutz 😂

I wanna say there was a Tippmann or jt paint I used here and there as well it was in a tan and olive box

Scorch/Visible impact was the best big box paint. When it was available at our local Walmart and we bought it all regularly the quality was stellar. The single color red shell with pink fill is probably in my top 5 best paints I’ve used on the regular.

I universally hated Inferno and never once had any remotely good experience shooting it. Same goes for most Diablo paint.
Could have been it was right on the heels of the good Marballizer, Proball and RP Premium era so anything after felt like trash.

I feel like my experience with Diablo paint was extremely polarizing. It was either all over the place and breaking in the gun, or it was amazing. I do remember Hellfire being small bore, which back in the day was .686

What ever the blue shell empire premium I shot this weekend was. Shit was bouncing off goggles regularly.

I remember our local shop brought in the Smart Parts 'Smart Paint' back in the day. Broke so easily in our high-pressure markers but we took the marketing bait. Marbs was the go to paint.
