    Mag frame on a cocker

So I have been doing some research and want to mount a mag frame to a cocker body. I believe it has been done numerous times but I have not found a thread with enough information yet. I am planning on putting this on a pump so no need to adapt it for the timing rod. That should make it easier. Does anyone have any tips on pulling this off. Willing to pay someone to mod it if that is an option.

iirc, the early frames were cross compatible.
which frame in particular are you thinking of using?

That is interesting, Planning on a y frame

There's a few ways to do it, I've found it's easiest to use a Sheridan trigger and sear. The trigger drops right in, the sear needs a small amount of modifying to fit correctly.
And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

Is this true for pretty much any mage frame?

I've only tried it on the CF frames.

I can only speak for the mag end of your idea.

Agd carbon frames take a thinner trigger. Then a intelliframe spec frame like the ygrip. But it should be easy enough to shim both sides of the a thinner trigger.

Mounting the sear would take some creativity as most Intelliframe spec frames enlarge vastly behind the trigger then a agd carbon. Best would probably be make a mounting block for the sear then secure that to the frame.

i think any work you end up doing to it will
    be irreversible. and extensive

      any mistakes you make will
be expensive. as you know, y and z grips are fairly hard to come by. personally, i wouldnt sell something like that if i knew what you were planning to do with it
      no offense

Yes Ryan Mingo ( knownothingmags / RKM Products) was. May still be. It's been awhile since I talked to him.

I can supply an untested file for a single trigger slider at any grip angle

They can bolt on.... But don't have the right trigger geometry to run as a semi

When you say bolt on, do the stock internals work as well? What modification to the internals, if any is required on a pump setup?

No, nothing will work except the mounting spacing

I can confirm this works on pumps. I have an AGD CF frame on mine with Sheridan internals. This setup even works with an Autococker safety, specifically the kind held in by an E clip. This provides a very light and short trigger pull when sprung light. Just keep in mind that the CF frames would need shaved down in the back if you intend on using a beaver tail (I didn't bother).

Thanks for the info! Why did you swap the internals? Was it simply a matter of preference or fitment?
