    Paintball Christmas

I started my buying, fixing and selling markers with the goal of getting basically free gear to give to some of my younger relatives to get them into paintball. I ended up getting a little carried away and have added a lot of nice gear. I figure this Christmas would be the best time to surprise them.

I’ve got two A-5 and an X-7, three sets of JT full head masks, 3 NXe 4+1 harnesses and three air tanks and barrel condoms. So they’ll be well outfitted.

I did ask their parents first and got their permission. I think I’ll deliver them after Christmas so it doesn’t overshadow/mess with anyone’s Christmas gift plans.

Anyone else spreading paintball joy this Christmas?

I built a marker for my 8 year old this year but the wife says he isnt ready. Gonna hang on to it until next year so no spreading paintball cheer for me

I gave my Nephew the Tippmann Custom Pro a couple Xmas's ago ( the gun that lured me back into paintball again in late 2017 ), hoping it would ignite the same bug! It did not unfortunately. Because he has an ipad.

I wouldn't call what you did as carried away at all. Great job getting them all they will need to start playing. .

You only had 10 and you're on MCB?! Isn't that against the rules?!

Those are permanent collection guns largely. I usually have at least 4-5 guns I'm fixing and flipping as well. Where my MCB card is in danger is my lack of phantoms (I did own one once...), no pre-2000 guns, no stock class and complete and total lack of brass.

Ah, that's better then! In all honesty I lack any brass as well though. I have a Classic Mag with a powerfeed body though, so that's almost as good, right?

I started quarantine at 9. Thanks to some grandiose Ideas of having gear for friends to use so they'd come play, and significantly increased presence over here, that number is now 19..... Now that I've counted I really need to shed some of these, I can't justify that number at all. 8 of them should be easy (emotionally lol) to let go of once I tune them up, a few were even bought with eventual resale in mind.

Having gear for friends is always a bit of a trap. Oh, if I have good guns and gear for them they'll come out and play more. I think the most important is to have good masks to borrow. A field rental gun is fine, not being able to see anything makes the experience horrible. That's why I'm starting to horde masks now... or at least that's what I tell myself.

I gave some pods and a harness along with a tank away to a friend who is getting back into the sport and have been putting together a JT Stryker to give away at some point too. May not be a Christmas giveaway though.

I gave my nephew a BT4 and a spare (new) 48/3000 tank to get him started. It was over the summer but I told him it was an early X-mas gift.
I’ll probably get him more accessories for real Christmas...some freak inserts maybe a old school rotor

I’ll also be picking up a gift card to a local field and another 48ci for my buddy’s son. (He’s getting a marker from his dad this Christmas) — I planted the bug over the summer.
He’d rather come play paintball over playing video games...the trick is going to me talking his dad into letting me take him more often.

This was a build I did last Christmas for my son but the thread was lost in the great MCB crash. I thought I would share this again because it was a fun build that a lot of people followed and helped out on.

That's fantastic. My daughter would love something like that. Being that she's six she's got a long way to go. Both my girls (3 and 6) are very interesting in the stuff I spend my time tinkering with. I have to ask them to do my test firing of guns or I get in trouble. My oldest is very creative and hands on so started having her help take apart easier guns as well. Lord only knows what she tells her teachers at school about playing with guns...
