Gel Bally, Gelly Ball , Splat R Ball !??

I'm late to the game but apparently gel ball is a thing, a mix of nerf, paintball and airsoft...... and big in Australia and China where airsoft is banned i believe?

    .
The most interesting thing is the weird gel ball ammo of course, and it's price ! 20,000 rounds (yes, you do have to prep them with water) is $10-$12 ....... by far the cheapest ammo compared to the other shooty tag type games. The only thing cheaper is supersoaker, or pointing your finger at your buddy and shouting "pew pew" !

i have to say, for playing around in the backyard with the kids, this looks way more fun than nerf !

Have more of you guys heard about this toy?

I’ve seen stuff like this at Walmart before but not that exact model. It’s rebranded orbeez. I’d try running some through a spyder/98c since it wouldn’t matter if it failed. Could make indoor fields waaaay better.

I recall reading a news article that these were already outlawed in Australia. There were a lot of them that are 1:1 firearm replicas just like airsoft. I got to mess around with a basic demo one at Cup this year. At point-blank it was irritating, but not painful. I think it would kill some insects. I didn't get to try it at any range. The cool part besides the ammo being so cheap and a "skid of paint" quantity fitting in a shipping envelope is that lack of cleanup. The "shattered" shots and intact shots shrivel into grains of sand when they dry. You can clean up with a vacuum inside or let nature take care of it outside.

My home field (The Siege, near Milwaukee) does Gellyball for kiddos. Last time I was out, I saw a birthday party with youngins and they were have an amazing time.
