I know this is an ATS specific part however im appealing to the mass of MCB hoping they can help identify this chain. The arms/fingers aren't a big deal at this stage as I figure they can be essentially spot welded or something of the sort.

The biggest issue im facing right now is even coming up with the name of this style of chain, and if you know where it can be sourced at all the better.

Stop work card is for scale, card is average credit card dimensions.

Do you know if anyone has looked at substituting the chain and perhaps drive system, I understand that the pawl is integral in the success of advancing the chain. And thank you for giving me another idea for the name.

might get away with reverse trig, but getting it constant enough without an incident through the chain is another story ...

I 100 percent agree with you. if I can ever find some of the stuff ill be sure to practice a lot before full chains.

I dont have anything specific at this point Im just taking it one step at a time but Im willing to try a few lower voltage items. I dont think im gonna need anything terribly expensive and might be able to get by with some home brew solution. I really am just taking this one problem at a time. And I think the biggest is gonna be the chain.

I'm pretty sure on the old MCB someone had figured out what chain this is. There was a lot of good ATS/Tagline info on the old MCB. Might have to see what you can find using the Wayback Machine.

I started to work on a Dmag adapter for the ATS, I'm 90% to a field able version ...
