I’m a pansy and only wear full finger gloves. Last time I didn’t wear gloves on a field came home with a good cut on my finger that scarred. My go-to glove is one with the “carbon fibre” knuckles. I think Empire branded. Lasted several years so far and will wear them until they are dead.

Can't stand wearing gloves, I'd rather be able to feel things with my fingers gives me more control, I wear a pair of the empire ninja gloves as I call them, it's basically a glove with no fingers, PE makes a pair like them as well, although I do wish the thumb was covered

Like the PE Snaps? Only covers the back of the hand and the palm?

i like to cut down full finger gloves myself so i can still keep the majority of my fingers protected. full finger has never felt as good to me when ive got to bust out my phone or tools.
sometimes have to turn them inside out and reinforce the seams a bit, but this has always worked great for me. Most "fingerless" options are unnecessarily too short. Currently, im rocking Mechanix "Precision Pro"s . the strap covers up enough of the back of your hand for decent 'padding'. im also a fan of sizing up with gloves, these are 2xl, but after cutting the tips, they fit better than the smaller sizes i tried.

Nice. I used to wear Ironclad Framer gloves for this reason. Only middle & index are cut, along with the thumb, and only above the last joint.

The most important thing to remember with gloves is that if you wear them, you will not be shot in the hand. If you don't, you absolutely will be.

I've got a similar story, that convinced me to start wearing gloves. I was at the old flagraiders site (RIP) in Cambridge Ont , across from Bingemans. We were playing an attack defend game , and I was on the defending team, and we packed in a couple seacans they referred to this building as the drug lab I believe. For anyone who remembers, it had a decrepit stretch limo parked in front

Anyhow, I took a position on one corner, and was trying to deny the attackers from approaching that side, and of course didn't move the whole game from that corner, so one sneaky attacker finally made it to the building, and then promptly bunkered me!

He striped me good across my front with maybe 3 or 4 shots, and hit the gun, and my hand. That woke me up, I'll tell ya!

So I look down at my hand and he had bloodied up my knuckles pretty good. It was at that exact moment i thought "Imma get me some gloves! "

anyhow, I've never played without gloves since then, not only do they take some of the sting out, but they're great for bushwhacking, and pushing thorny stuff out of your way in woods, etc.

+1 for Mechanix as well, I opt for the "covert" ones myself (basically the original gloves but with black on black). They are perfect for paintball, biking, real steel shooting or just general handiwork around the house. I have the index and middle fingers half cut on one pair for extra hot days, otherwise I tend to just wear normal full finger length. Those Exalt death grip gloves look nice though, I'll have to pick up a pair at some point and try them out.
