17/3k bottles still available @ MCS

In my continual effort to downgrade and downsize, I found myself yearning for a 17ci 3k tank once again - my all time favorite. I was surprised to find MCSUS is still sticking the bottles. Shipping is still just $5, too. I think the price has increased since last time I purchased one, but still worth it.

These seems like it would be super long once the reg was on. What setup do you use it with?

Use with anything, primarily snipers. Another reason I like these, for the length. With my wingspan, I'm always trying to find the longest tank setup possible. 9oz co2 covers fit them nicely, and I always chop a tennis ball in half to stick on the butt.

That’s what rails and drop forwards are for

      80ci, 17ci, 13ci 10ci

17ci is the same length as a standard 68ci without the girth. It’s a great length and perfect for pump. The 3AL tanks are hydro exempt to.

The 22ci feels long. (Bottom picture)

        17 is a perfect length
22 is wonky needs a drop forward.
I got mine from MCS a while back. They are great.

If you keep an eye out you can find some of the 4500 tanks for cheap. I picked up a used 15/45 with a basic ninja reg for $40 at nxl Ohio

Only downside is they do have a life span. I will admit I don’t use my aluminum tanks since I got my 4500 carbon variants. However having an aluminum one that never goes out of hydro for a back up is nice to have.

A Myth style reg makes these the perfect length for me. Love those tanks.

Love the size of them wish they were a lil better quality. The FS and Myths are not very durable or reliable.

          Agreed 100%.
This makes for a tank almost exactly the length of an early-2000s 68ci tank.

I would note that when I first got my 17ci tank it came from eBay with a no-name Chinese regulator. That reg turned out to be non-functional and free-flowed 3000psi into my Phantom. I had a real problem trying to get it off, as the full bottle pressure meant that it was impossible to unscrew it from the ASA, and the backpressure on the valve meant it wasn't even possible to cock the gun to shoot the pressure out. The solution I eventually came to was to unscrew one of the stainless compression fittings leading to the vertical ASA, which rather than venting kind of exploded once it got loose enough and rocketed out of the chrono area and into a big patch of poison ivy right under the chrono targets.

Thanks!! I still consider this to be my "main" gun.

17/3k has been my go to tank for open class play as well. With a CCI ASA it's the same length as an L-stock on the Phantom, so I don't have to re-adjust on that gun, and it feels good on my snipers.
