Ok. I've only ever dealt with a few of the older dye 3 ways that use the specific dye o rings that are supposedly oval shaped... Or something like that
Anyway, I was recently rebuilding a psychobalistics lightning for Super Nova, yes I know either I'm a masochist or he is crazy for paying me to rebuild one, but regardless I realized that these were based off the dye ultralight which uses those special o rings and I didn't have any. Tried 006, too stiff, trigger wouldn't return, 005 leaked even with dow 55.
So I dug around and tried some metrics. I stretched a 2x2mm and surprisingly it worked great, seals up and travels smooth.
So I have 2 questions
1) can anyone confirm that the PB lightning 3 way uses those special dye o rings?
2) if they do use the special o rings, is anyone else willing to confirm my results? I know the PB cockers are known for terrible tolerances so I'd like to know if 2x2mm work on a 3 way that we know was made correct and not just one that may or may not be in tolerance
