    I Found It!!!

Last year one of the damage inc guys was fielding their Carter Duck on one of the woods fields for stocktoberfest at AG paintball and while waking off the field lost the arm that connects the slide to the body of the gun. I didn't have my metal detector up with me at the time of him losing the part, but thought about it afterwards and was determined to try finding it. Tried for a few hours a few months ago at the spring stock game with no luck finding it, but did clean up the field finding a ton of old CO2 cartridges lol.

Anyways I got up to the field earlier this week on Friday and within a half hour of searching, I got a nice signal in the general area that he thought he had lost it. I kicked away the leaves getting ready to dig and checked the spot again and the target had moved. Got on the ground and there it was, didn't even sink into the ground over this past year, had been hidden the leaves.

It was like finding a needle in a haystack. I still can't believe I found it. The damage inc guys played this weekend and I got to give the part back and reunite it with the gun.

Definitely one of my favorite metal detecting find returns I've been able to do.

That is awesome man. The dissapointment in losing something like that is gutting. My dad went to Japan in the late 80's and brought me back a proper ninja star. I, like any 80's kid who grew up watching ninja movies was out back throwing it at a target he made for me and it went clean over the target and got lost in sand. Search as I may, it was gone. For months and months it ate me up. My connection to being a ninja vanished. Until one day playing catch with my dad in the same area and he noticed something sticking out of the sand a bit. Viola! I was a ninja again and literally had tears of joy. I was like 7 or something close to that.

Yeah, my dad trusted me with knives, bb-guns, bows, and my very own .22 when I was 7. Life was great back then. IYKYK!
Do hard things for fun. Being soft is for sissies. Being an asshole is easy, thats why everyone is one. Being stand up us hard. Be a hard bastard but be respectful.

            You nailed it, “gutting” indeed‼️

Yet, I tend to land on the half full side of the coin-

I was genuinely touched by the amount of unsolicited support I recieved from the East Coast Stockclass Playas - from the hand drawn wanted poster, to connecting me to so & so, to hey I could fab up something & finally hitting the field & painstakingly sweeping for it -

Class acts all, I salute you‼️
