    Trigger pull weights

So one of my other hobbies is PRS rimfire shooting competitions and building up a long range centerfire rig. I have spent a small fortune and a good amount of time adjusting All my rifles and triggers. One of the tools I have for tuning is a trigger pull scale.

Today I decided to air up a couple of my paintball guns and measure there pull weights. Obviously paintball triggers are kinda lousy with lots of creep but I was curious on the weight. Well my new Emek measured in at 12.4oz. My Classic Valved ULE Automag feels better to me with a cleaner break but pull weight was over double 2lbs 9.9oz Even with the double blade trigger.

For comparison all three of my competition 22lr rifles are set up to break like glass with pull weights hovering around the 1lbs mark.
AGD 68 Automag, AGD ULE 68 Automag, Azodin Kaos Pump II, PE EMEK pal, Tippmann SL68II gen2, Umarex TR50.

This sounds like a fun test. I'd like to see the different pull strengths and then find the one I like best.

This is almost comical given that for almost a couple decades, the overwhelming majority of triggers were simply a means to push a microswitch. Then there are the oddball hall effect or break beam triggers.

I do think that the mechanical side would be interesting with so many different trigger designs used over the decades (like the Air Power Vector).

lol this was just a curiosity as I clean my paintball gear on the same bench as I clean the real firearms. And there sat my trigger gauge so I tried it.

Don’t have any electronic markers only mech and pumps now. I been playing since 1998 and I have Only ever owned two electronic markers in that time (DP E1, Tippmann Crossover) and where kept long or used much.

I've always wanted to test the trigger weight of my cockers, especially my trilogy. The niche slider frame on it has the lightest springing I've ever felt.

You know i have a trigger scale and never thought to do this. I'd be down to test my mech guns out. But this also reminds me that i still need to swap my ar trigger out that i got in feburary but broke my shoulder snowboarding a week prior to going to the cabin and needless to say, i didn't shoot anything.
