    Anyone remember the indoor paintball spot in Compton circa 1989?

    Does anyone remember the indoor paintball spot in Compton circa 1989?

    I think it was called Ambush.. Off Alondra BLVD

    It in an industrial park building,

    Structures and rooms built with plywood and sawdust on the floor...

    89 is a few years before my paintball time.... I knew an Ambush but not in Compton. I spent most of my days up at Fields of Fury or Close Encounters. The indoor field I played was further north than Compton but man.... I can't remember the name... Can't say I knew of any paintball in Compton itself.... They always seemed to use real steel down there...

      Yeah they opened up in 1988 I believe and were closed by the early 90's for sure

    I remember the one close to LAX.
    maybe the one in Compton as well as I remember being told that i was "in the wrong hood" at a stoplight in Compton

      We were from that zone so we never felt any vibes... My Pops had the pass for any hood around those parts

      I believe it was B-Real. I am not a Cypress Hill fan so never meant much to me but he was on Stoned Assasins. We would scrimmage in the rotating practice games with 4 or so other teams and they would be down there

    Yeah it was a great little spot.

    Wish someone else would remember it

    I would always had a great time there.

    Lots of newbies trying out the sport...

    I think an indoor fields in the city could def draw more players in the sport...

      There was a spot called friendly fire indoor in Hawthorne near LAX.

      Closest thing to indoor now is adrenaline reball center connected to the paintball gateway store in Gardena
