Yeah, no argument there but at $20-40 value does it matter? You can get a whole other 98 and have whatever spare parts you need.

Tippmann is a shell of what it was. I can understand trimming down the product line but kore has gone so far that the tippmann name is irrelevant. Their strongest selling point was familiarity. The 98 being the first marker most players touched sold the brand on it's own. Even if getting the 98 to fields as rentals lost the company money I don't see how they didn't make that money back when players eventually purchased a tippmann as the first marker they owned. To me that seems like the most effective advertising campaign you could ask for. I'm betting kore came in and looked at a cost spreadsheet and decided the 98 and A5 were not profitable enough but a spreadsheet won't tell the whole story.

Makes me wonder how profitable the Cronus is that they kept it

I was more of a ProCarbine and A5 guy myself. I didn’t like the original 98 when it came out because it just seemed like a cheaper ProCarbine, then after my college break from the game it was the A5 that got me back on the field again.

Definitely government issued. Though I did see a speed feed on one of them.

paintball is getting a real bad rep around here cause of this. we've run out of 60926s in all the hardware stores, buying in bulk from ULINE these days.
