I don't know anything about the dick-waving in the background, but as far as prices go? Speaking personally I do not and will not bother with an ad that doesn't have a clear price.
Keep in mind we're buying toys, here. We're not negotiating a service contract for our office building, or haggling for the best price for an AMG Mercedes- we're buying and selling paintball guns and parts.
While I'm sure some players have a "buy at any cost" unicorn, the vast majority of us will look at a posting and just go hey, that's cool, I wonder how much it is? There's a price, you judge it as affordable or unaffordable, and proceed from there.
Still speaking personally, I can't think of a single marker, part or accessory I'd bother taking the time to email the seller just to get a price. Point in fact, all too many tool vendors have a "contact us for a quote"- at which point I see if the same thing can be had on eBay or Amazon, and if the price is acceptable, I'll buy it from there.
Putting a price in an ad is simply good courtesy to the rest of us, and increases your chances of a sale.

The "contact us for a quote" or an MSC account rep saying "contact us and we can quote a better price" is something that bothers me so much. The price is the price for an item. The only variables are shipping and if you get charged sales tax or not. I could rant about this for half an hour. Obviously this applies to new items (not services) being sold by a vendor, not used items. Sorry, rant over. -
Yup. I mentioned in another thread that I was never able to buy a Newall DRO kit, because no one would sell them outright. It was always "have your purchasing agent call our sales rep for a quote"- if not actually having to open a "purchasing account" or some such nonsense. I'm sure that works for big shops that, y'know, actually have purchasing agents and the like, but my little one-man garage shop? Hey look, eBay has it, two clicks and it's on it's way.

GrumpySmurf429 has some legit markers that need new homes. Instead of trashing you and making fun of your negative experience here, I’m going to offer you help. If you have any questions or wonder why anything is or isn’t the way it is, lemme know. I got my lifetime membership to this forum based on the same treatment I got from some members here. The deals you get aren’t because you demand them, you get good deals because you are a good person and that shows through the keyboard, or you are the first one to find the good deal and it’s yours. I spend way too much time online on this forum. Once or twice I check this website and I’ve found amazing deals. That took 6 years to happen. You gotta be patient. Hope this helps not makes me sounds like everyone that’s bugging you.Comment

Wait till he finds out what’s behind the pay wall.
All jokes aside you’re really taking this way too seriously. MCB is a tight nit group. Yes we look out for each other especially people who are willing to help other members and people who support the sight and make it what it is. Things are definitely discounted to members, pieces that aren’t for sale can be pride from the clutches of collectors with the right Attitude and Trade lube. That respect is earned if you are looking to profit off generosity you will likely be ignored in the future. Also keep in mind the mods are not full time employees they will not catch everything but do a dam good job keeping this forum organized and add free. Also yes paying supporting members do get better deals. Often things are sold in the members section before they even hit the BST section. Support of the site has its benefits but the BST rules still apply to everyone equally.
You really should maybe delete this thread before a mod has to. Reevaluate and discuss your grievances with the party’s involved privately. This is not FaceBook do better.Last edited by Chuck E Ducky; 01-22-2026, 09:16 PM.Comment

if you got something to say its better to say it than vague meaningless threats that you probably cant follow through.
as for the rules, it seam when someone forget or miss them, we, as a group, remind each other and that seam to go well and always be friendly.
hope you wake up and realize how nice this community is; MCB has been a safe heaven in the paintball world that is keeping me going.

I love how this threads started by claiming there's favoritism but asking people to pm you for the price is the exact way people play favorites by basing the price on who sends you the pm.

I’ve always just tried to purchase markers with cash. Didn’t realize lube and a can-do attitude would work as well.
The WTB section is about to get awkward. 🤔

I think this guy has completely lost his mind, I dont sell here on MCB, and I've never built a Olive Green DeflatorComment

I was trying to think when was the last time I saw you place something for sale here. Only came up with your build threads and input on projects. -
I do let people here know what I'm up to on occasion, but generally speaking my customers know where to find me if they want to build a marker or something. I dont even sell on AO anymore, it's been years since I posted anything beside completed builds. It needs at least some paintball content even if it's just pictures.
