Anyone use a phone for recording on field games?

I bought this phone mount off of amazon and the picatinny rail for mounting my old iPhone 8 Plus to my EMF100 (under barrel) to record playing. Anyone else run a setup like this? I have a small GoPro like camera but I hate the small controls, limited battery and difficulty trying to get the footage off the camera to a PC or somewhere to edit it. Plus mounting it under barrel, I had to edit the footage to be 100% flipped 180* because the GoPro won't allow you to flip filming. At least the iPhone will have sensors and make the video upright.

I have an Otterbox case on the phone. It's old and if it gets destroyed I'm not going to be too upset. I think it will record decently but I wonder if I'm crazy for doing this. I have several old phones laying around so it's not like I have to use my new phone. I have had issues with the GoPro cases getting broken getting shot because most of them are plastic. The metal one I had I can't find. I have lost it somewhere and no clue where it is so I had to pivot before I go to KC the play next week.

I think it would be fine. It should even be able to take somepaintball hits without much issue if it waterproof. I just started rocking the metas for gameplay and they are fun albeit a little glare under the mask

What GoPro are you using? I have a 4 that allows for that. I'm just guessing you have something newer than me

I use iPhone. It’s not a big deal just don’t get shot in the screen or it will crack.

60 fps if you wanna see the balls in the air yo.
