Wanted to test out different bolt configurations on my Luxe ICE. Running a 77/4500 tank, around 550psi. Manifold screw is set at 1.5 screws in from flush (stock). All configurations were cronoing around low to mid 280s.
I was able to drop the regulator pressure on the Luxe about a half turn when using the encore bolt. Encore consistency and FPS didn’t change hardly at all (maybe a decrease of 5 fps) when Feathertouch screw was installed.
I found the stock bolt to shoot the softest. It almost has a 2 phase sound signature to it. Encore and Encore with feathertouch screw installed were very similar. Might’ve noticed slight more airiness with the Encore feathertouch configuration.
All-in-all, I still like the stock ICE core the best (also has better efficiency), but could definitely see the encore being good for improved reliability (no bolt springs), as well as being able to run the feathertouch screw with no issues. I’ve heard from others that running a feathertouch in the stock core gives consistency issues.
